A math teacher wanted to better prepare his Y9 for the end of year test. He sent each student, on one note, a table with the topics and concepts they should know by the end of term. Depending on whether they felt confident, quite confident or needed to review, they gave it a colour (red, amber, green). This transferred into a spreadsheet that will help him organise revisions in the next 4 weeks that suit students and are more personalised.

I’m sure this could, at times, lead to students’ best/most creative/most productive work.

I found the session very useful as I could talk to our colleagues that I have never talked before. We exchanged a lot of teaching/learning ideas. Some ideas are: 1 Use games to revise our lessons 2 Make our students to explain our learning intentions and success criteria and how they have attained them at the end of lessons. 3 Create an assessment sheet by unit/topic and color eg, green ,red yellow etc.. it according to our students attainment so that we know which topics that students did well and which one they did not do well. This also gives us a feedback about our lessons
