Sometimes I blame myself for developing feelings for you when I knew right from the start that the stars weren't aligned for us. I spent so much time alone with my thoughts and my feelings for you. You made my heart jump every time I saw you and made my heart ache when I realize that we will never be. I was hopelessly looking forward to a future I created that I forgot how to dream for myself. 

I started doing things that I thought would impress you. I was always conscious of how I would act and speak around you. I tried to build an image that I thought would make you notice me. I forgot how to be myself.

i knew it the moment i saw myself willing to risk it all, willing to drop everything, willing to wait no matter how long despite the absence of your assurance. i'd take every risk as long as it's for you.

I don’t understand why I still like you when you keep on disregarding what I feel. It’s not just once, twice, or thrice, that you ignored my feelings, but a lot of times. It hurts me more that you did not reject me than if you did. Because if you rejected me, it means that you care about me and my feelings. But you did not, and it only means one thing, that you don’t care about me at all.

I’ve got no tears left to cry because you’ve taken all of them. Don’t get me wrong, I am not demanding anything from you. Just like what Carson from I’m Drunk I Love You (2017) played by Maja Salvador said, “Hindi mo naman kasalanan na hindi mo ako mahal.” 

There’s just something about you that I can’t remember, it’s the same darn thing that made my heart surrender, and that thing is the reason why I’m holding on. Even if I can’t remember that thing, I’m still holding on, and I’ll continue finding what it is… then maybe I’ll let go. the truth is whenever i wake up at 4am, you're still the first person on my mind. i hate how your voice still lingers in my head, the words you uttered, the warmth your presence brings. i don't know how you do it. i don't know how after all these months, it's still you. 

i tried to distract myself by doing all the things my friends suggested that i do to forget about u. but i can't. kasi you're already a part of me. you're my other half, and even though my friends and family care for me, i still feel incomplete.

first of most, i’d like to say thank you. for being an inspiration, for always listening to whatever i have to say, and for just ... being there. you have been everything to me. my home, my love, and my confidant. thank you for giving me the peace that surpasses all understanding. thank you for every glance you’d have to take to just see through me. 

i glance at you too. maybe the way you’d never look at me. i glance at you like a dream when you’re not looking. you’re the dream. my dream. 

but i have to stop dreaming. i have to stop persisting, risking, and enduring all at once on repeat. i have to stop seeking answers for my “what if’s” and “what could’ve beens.” we both know we don’t stand a chance. but what matters to me most right now is that i tried. and maybe ... maybe next time i’ll try again. siguro ‘pag kaya ko nang tanggapin kahit yung mga bagay na ikasasakit ko. i’m not sure if that day will come but i don’t know, time will tell.

Things have changed, my feelings started to fade since I’m starting to like someone else and after some time, we became friends. I began to know you more since we’re mostly spending our time together, we’re always teasing each other, and then I accidentally started to like u again. I guess love at first sight, isn’t true, but attraction at first sight does exist. I’ll wake up in the morning smiling and its kinda weird cause I think I’m longing for your presence. 

I think you’re a really good guy despite everything I’ve heard about you not because I like you but because I’ve seen something in you. When I see you having fun, I’m naturally smiling after you. Every time your perfume touches me, the scent strikes differently, and for some reason, it makes me want to hug you. Maybe I’m falling deeper? I never expected that we were going to be this close, I really enjoy being with you.

I like the way you try so hard when you play ball with your friends and the way you sing along to TikTok and Spotify songs. I find it cute and funny at the same time. I was planning to return something if I’m going to confess to you personally. It's a little thing that you picked up in the street that you gave to me recently. I assumed that you think it doesn’t have sentimental value to me, but I gave value to it since I find it random but sweet. 

I realized a lot of things these past few weeks. I think that we’re not gonna work together since I’m not your type and I know that you already like someone, or maybe you already have someone, idk? I enjoy everything and I’m beyond grateful for your company, I'm not expecting more than what we have right now.
