These included making mind maps, brainstorming ideas, and learning how to cite correctly. These really helped me form my ideas and narrow my topic. After we did these, we went to the library to learn how best to do our research on the CU Library website. This really helped me navigate my research and find peer-reviewed sources. I also made a matrix in order to organize my thoughts and take notes as I was researching. I referred to this constantly when I was writing my first draft because it had all the information I needed. We also had to write an annotated bibliography.
