Danxia Mountain contributes significantly to the biodiversity of the country, through a uniquely established ecosystem. With lots of steep cliffs, red crag environments and moisture from the Jinjiang, Danxia Mountain is a favourable habitat to many organisms, including some endemic species of birds, fish and plants.

Internationally, Danxia Mountain is recognised as part of UNESCO’s Global Geopark Network, as well as World Heritage Site.
