Holding placards and printed statements, protesters called for justice and accountability over what they described as millions of pesos in public funds lost to corruption while farmers and residents remain vulnerable to recurring floods.

"Milyon-milyon na pondo ng taong bayan ang mga ninananakaw, samantalang ang mga magsasaka at mga mamamayan at patuloy na binabaha, nalulunod sa baha, nalulunod pa sa utang," one of the farmer protesters said.

At 11 AM, the protest is set to move to the Mini Forest at Malolos Capitol for a student assembly and walkout scheduled at 12 PM.

Meanwhile, a simultaneous press conference at Barasoain Church was organized by BIGKIS Bulacan, a multisectoral alliance, where a representative from the BulSU Student Government was expected to deliver a statement.

By afternoon, the student contingent was scheduled to march toward the Provincial Capitol to join other sectors converging from Barasoain, capping a day-long multi-sectoral demonstration.
