I took a few pieces, naively thinking that I wouldn't arise suspicion. One day, while my mother came up to my room to tell me to take out my trash, she spotted candy wrappers, but instead, she pretended to not see a thing. Then she questioned if I had taken any candy from their room. I blurted out no, without knowing she already knew. She pointed towards the candy wrapper, and I was caught red handed without any allaby. I was, as usual, punished for my actions, and if I had just told the truth, things would've went more smoothly. 

How this relates to my theme? 

The reason this example relates to the theme is because, instead of telling the truth, I lied blatantly resulting in me receiving a heavier punishment rather than if I were to tell the truth. ]]> 2021-01-08 18:36:44 UTC https://padlet.com/danielyi199/qmr4dcdqumj3mtrf/wish/1068280522 danielyi199 https://padlet.com/danielyi199/qmr4dcdqumj3mtrf/wish/1068319964 Every day, I have a certain amount of things I have to do, before I have the benefit of leisure and free time. One of the more important  tasks, is to read a book and write a minimum of a page long summary, summarizing the book. I got lazy one day, and I decided to just read a book I've already read. When I brought the summary over to my parent's room, my mother after not even reading most of my first paragraph, she already knew that I had lazily read another book. She asked me if the book I read was new, and I of course, lied once more. Saying the book was completely new, and unheard of until a few hours ago. Little did I know, she had a stack of my summaries, and she flipped to an older summary I wrote about the same book. The aftermath of the situation resulted in me having to read two books. 

How this relates to my theme?
