Chinese moral judgements are affected by the values of modesty and self effacement. Quantitative data was recorded which increased the reliability of the study. Methods that were used to measure moral judgement were the same with all children, with a standard rating scale so it is also highly repeatable.

Large sample size that covered a range of ages in different cultures, so allowed cross cultural comparisons to be made. The study also contained roughly equal numbers in terms of gender so the findings can easily be generalised to both genders.

There was no risk of harm or any deception in the study, and it included age appropriate material so the study was ethical.
