         <description><![CDATA[<div>Day 1: The seeds under the light absorbed the water which made the filter paper dry, while the filter paper in the drawer was still wet.<br>Day 4: The seeds in the drawer did not change at all&nbsp;and the filter paper is still a little bit damp. A couple of the seeds under the light were starting to sprout and the filter paper became dry again, so we put 1 mL of water in it.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The seeds under the intense light did not sprout so we do not know what color they are. The seeds with no light grew white roots when they sprouted, but the leaves of the seeds were green. The seeds under the intense light did not grow because we only added one milliliter of water and all of it was absorbed by the light over night. Based on our experiment, water was a main environmental factor that determined the growth of our seeds. Since the seeds under intense light did not sprout, we are unable to determine if light intensity affects the phenotype of the seed.&nbsp; Our experiment consisted of two petri dishes with 100 tobacco seeds in each. The petri dish in the drawer sprouted white stems with green leaves. No petri dish was placed in natural light, so we were not able to determine if light intensity was an environmental factor that affected the genotypes and phenotypes of the tobacco seeds.</div>]]></description>
