Teachers have been exposed to so much more useful technological resources and examples to bring a variety of lessons like Choice Boards, Inquiry Learning Lessons, and Playlists

We have been able to learn more about different types of blended learning and incorporating those into our lessons. I feel if we continue to focus on these, that our staff will get better at making student forward lessons.

We have created strategies of the month, where teachers have a wide variety of instructional strategies to choose from to implement in their classes.

All students have access to Canvas. Differentiated instruction is updated weekly for students and families to access. We do a good job focusing on character traits and explaining what they look and sound like. Once a lesson is taught, students are nominated and recognized for demonstrating those traits.

Academic Contract

Implementation of the school-wide academic contract has been key. All teachers & students are expected to follow the same set expectations. The use of AOL vs. Progress Checks has given teachers the opportunity to assess progress and overall comprehension effectively.

To what degree do we ensure students' physiological needs are met? I believe that staff members provide for students that need basic needs. Students feel comfortable coming to us when they need something.

The Strategy of the Month and Badge programs have allowed the instructional support team to provide various strategies and activities to differentiate experiences for learners, in addition to allowing the experiences to be student-centered.

CHARGE lessons - whole child is addressing emotional needs of students better than it has in the past. I appreciate that students are no longer getting the same lesson for three years in a row.

PBIS rewards / Clubs & Student groups

Use the PBIS rewards app has been key. It has enabled teachers to focus more on the positives and give students props for doing what is right. Implementation of clubs and specific students groups have allowed for students to find a way to fit in and find additional positive interactions with additional students and teachers.

Planning calendars are intentionally paced to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Progress Checks for learning help students identify key misconceptions; and help teachers identify adjustments to instructional practices.

Implementation of blended learning practices and focusing on using new learning experiences. Focusing on creating learning experiences earlier in the planning process has been helpful. Job embedded PD allows for us to continue learning about new things.

We are provided with a district curriculum, which is used as our roadmap to instruction. Content teachers meet during PLC's to discuss the curriculum, identify the power TEKS and plan backwards from there. Assessments and learning opportunities are created the gauge student mastery of concepts. We do a good job incorporating technology into our lessons.

The attention to blended learning lessons and assignments for students this year and the addition to the badge opportunities to encourage teachers to incorporate blended learning lessons into their curriculum has definitely increased BL opportunities for students this year.
