My favourite TV ad of all time is probably Sony Bravia Paint advert. I think it's effective because it is visually stunning - the beautiful colours contrast with a very normal urban environment. Further, because the paint explosions are synchronised with (match) the classical music which also contrasts with the setting it seems even more unusual and strange. The slogan they use, 'colour like no other' is not only short and snappy but it also rhymes which makes it more memorable. This slogan also matches how unusual the advertisement is - it is 'like no other'.

The most funny advert of all time, should've gone spec savers. The way they use a funny idea and showing how stupid the guy is, tells us we should get glasses from the spec savers. It is very effective how they make you feel sympathy for the cat and it is just joke, it is more memorable to think and is a simple idea that sticks in your head. The massive contrast tells you anything bad can happen is you don't have glasses when you need them. Also the slogan is chatchy and you can say in alot off tones making it funny and easer to remember.

My favorite TV ad of all time is the natural confectionery co sweet commercial. Its completely unique and would draw your attention as soon as the sweet begins to talk. The thing that left me completely bewildered was the shear randomness of it. I think its a thrilling idea because there's no animation to make it move just a sweet with a voice over which gives it a realistic aspect. In my opinion every kid would want this lip smacking sweet to craft their own roleplays.

My chosen advert is Evians 'baby me'. It is effective because for whoever is watching it will be entertained - it is a funny, original idea that has a meaning. The slogan is 'Live Young' which means the drink keeps you young. Obviously this is exaggeration, because no drink could keep you young, but it could also be a metaphoric statement as it could make you feel refreshed and lighter in some way, as if you ARE a child. The advert in general is humour, as it is comical when the adults start messing around being their baby selves - it will attract every age, as some may find it funny, some may find the babies cute, ect. The music is upbeat and has a sort of urban feel to it. This gives a happy, bouncy atmostphere. There is no speaking involved in the advert, which makes it easy to understand for everyone who is watching. The slogan is short, snappy and metaphorical. It is also unique and even though it cant happen in real life, it is still an interesting thought to have if it really happened. The only bad thing about this advert is that it doesnt have the price or general information about the product.

By Yasmin

It is effective because kung fu is a very tricky thing to learn for most people and Pepsi is a very simple and for me shows the difference between something so hard and something very simple ( Pepsi).

My favourite tv ad of all time is the evian roller babies.this commercial is cute, funny and sweet. That's because its not reality which makes it funny and the effect it gives the people is entertaining the way they did it is cute and makes me smile :) and the meaning of why they made this ad is that when you drink evian it makes you feel young. And also the ad is very snappy and and draws your attention the only thing that they should improve it that they should make it look a bit more realistic. And if I was going to give a point to this ad I will give it 10/10 because it makes my day!

I enjoy this advert because it shows the
extents people will go to, to make somebody else happy. I think the way that
one of the snowmen does so much for the other is very moving. He climbs
mountains, crosses rivers and walks along wet and busy motorways, all for a
present to make the other snowman happy and to keep her warm. I love the look
of determination on his face when he has to cross the stream, and the
expression of joy when he finally gets to the shop. Even though snowmen can’t
talk we could see their emotions. I think they made this advert because it
links into the slogan, “Give a little more love this Christmas,” and that is
exactly what he did.

My advert is the Mini Vinnie British Heart Foundation ad. It is humorous, meaningful and effective. It appeals to everyone, especially kids, as they have used children in the ad which makes kids feel like they haven't been

left out and that watching the ad is quite important. It also appeals to adults as most of them would have heard the song "Stayin' alive". They haven't used a slogan in this particular ad but in all the others it is "28 lives saved and counting...", this is an extremely effective slogan because of the fact that this ad is saving peoples lives by raising the awareness. It makes YOU feel special. There are some jokes in the ad which has kept the audiences attention throughout the advert. The actual realisation of how important the ad actually is, only sinks in after it is over, which I think is clever as it leaves behind a mark that you'll never forget.

This is my favourite advert of all time because it is extremely funny and creative. They play dramatic music to draw the reader in and get their attention. The advert shows that furniture can help you dramatically in multiple ways other than just to sit on (for example, they use chairs as cover against the gnomes). The gnomes represents them being old fashioned and ikea represents new.The slogan "time for change" refers to replacing the gnomes with furniture, which leads to them attempting to them maliciously rebelling against their innocent, former masters. In addition to this, although there is no speech in this advert, the dramatic expressions on their faces show you their emotions. However, it is mainly the humour in this particular advert I like which is why it is my favourite.

I think this is a good advert, because it uses baby/child like characters to entice little children and it is they who will be their main target market or audience. They show lots of honey to further entice the consumers which is little children, who might like honey. Also the advert makes it seem like the cereal is made by lovely bees in a lovely hive not mass produced in a factory.

The style of song is a mix of modern pop songs, so they are essentially trying to make a new pop song that, uses a catchy tune so it will constantly remind you of the product. Also it often repeats the brand name "Honey Pops" to get it stuck in your head.

It's slogen is 'simples!' which is the most commonly used catchphrase and its really catchy. obviously that's not true because when you visit compare the meerkat.com you have to sign up and do alot more which obviously isnt 'simples!'. but it is also a lie to persuade people to sign up. It is also good because all ages would find it funny, even little children might persuade their parents to sign up. Its gives a happy atmostphhere.

I have chosen this advert because I think that it uses amusing methods to attract customers to the product (EDF Energy), such as the orange blob (the mascot of the company). This is an effective mascot because it appeals to a wide range of age groups because it is humorous and cute. This advert also includes a Basset Hound dog, which in itself is a very appealing image to most audiences. The slogan, 'Feel Better Energy', is short, catchy and memorable, so audience members will remember the slogan, and whenever they think of it, they will be reminded of the product. Overall the advert represents a friendship between the company and the customer, and shows how the presence of the company can improve the lifestyle of the customer. The advert also mentions that the product is not too expensive and it gives you statistics by telling you that millions have already switched to EDF Energy. I enjoy this advert because as well as being informative, it is also entertaining to watch.

I've chosen this advert because i think it grips the viewer in an emotional way because this advert really hits home the message about child cruelty. The upsetting visuals of young ,vulnerable children crying and curled up in a ball etc. This demonstrates to the viewer what harrowing actions happen to the innocent children around us. The persuasive techniques that this advert uses is by making suggestive actions such as, for example within the advert you see a child. Its curled up in a ball pulling the cover towards them and then you hear footsteps approaching. This is suggesting that an adult is coming to their room. Which gives you the suggestive that the child is scared of sexual abuse. The other example that i wish to use is a child under the table and then you hear a BANG! They use sound, this evokes fear and anger in the viewer. Because its suggesting that a child is being hit. Because they do not use real aggressive violence as adverts can come any time within the day. So its suggestive to you by sound. sometimes sound makes more of an impact on the viewer because the get the impression and the point that the advert is trying to put across. i feel this advert really is powerfull and suggestive of what its trying to point out to the public by using innocent vulnerable children crying, in rags, dirty faces to imply a lack of care. No luck shown to the individual and this really helps because its all about visual and i think that this advert does it well

She is dancing to the music and it is my favourite advert. Beyonce is a very well known person and teenagers look up to her. I think this ad is effective because at the beginning she is sad and doesn't know the moves and then she drinkers the Pepsi and she is really good. This advert is aimed to teenagers because they buy pepsi. She is dancing in time to the music and I like the way she makes the people in the mirror dance at the same time. At the end the mirrors smash and it said 'live for now' which I think is effective because it is a good end to it and she is 'living for now'.

The fact that is is a little girl telling her dad about oreos makes me laugh because she's bossing her dad around and telling him not to eat it.
