The Taiga is the largest biome on earth. It covers large areas across Europe, North America, and Asia. It is also located below the Tundra Biome. Other names for this biome are coniferous forest or boreal forest. Coniferous means needle leaved trees and boreal means of northern regions. Temperatures in this biome widely range in lows of winter and highs of summer.

Taiga is described by a cold, cruel atmosphere, low precipitation rate, and a short developing season. Long severe winters last as long as a half year with normal temperatures beneath freezing (-20°). Winters also include snowfall. Temperatures still fluctuate broadly and summers are warm, rainy, and muggy. Average temperature is 50°.

The latitude and longitude of the Taiga is around 50° to 60° North latitude to the arctic circle. The situation of the Taiga is controlled by the level of warmth experienced during the developing season, the temperatures of the soil and the extreme least winter temperatures. The greater part of the Taiga in North America was once secured with icy masses that have subsided leaving checks and despondencies in geography. The majority of Taiga comprises of hills, valleys, lowlands, mountains and plains. Secured with Evergreen/Coniferous trees. Also brimming with lakes and meadows.

Coniferous trees, for example, tidy, pine, and firn are normal. Coniferous trees have needles rather than wide leaves and seeds, becoming within woody, defensive cones rather than bushes and blooms. Moss, lichen and mushrooms cover a floors of the Taiga. Lichen: organism being made out of fungus or fungi and alga or cyanobacterium. Mushroom: fungus with an umbrella formed top over a slim stalk. These organisms have adapted to their surroundings of the ranging climate. These are also found in the Taiga because they don't need much to live off of. The moose, the biggest kind of deer on the planet, can live widely open to the harshe elements of the Taiga. Moose are recognized by their long and rounded noses, colossal, leveled antlers, humped back, skinny and furry legs and gigantic bodies. This animal adapts to the cold weather with its fur covered body. Bears and lynx are pretty common here. They both have sharp and large teeth with fur covered bodies as well. Both of these adaptations help protect these animals from the climate and other predators.

Taiga ecosystems are threatened by direct human activity and climate change. Animals including foxes, bears, and elk have always been hunted for their fur. Trees are also cut down for lumber, paper, and cardboard. Clear cut logging which is when most or all trees are uniformly cut down increases the risk of erosion and flooding here.

1. black spruce: Picea mariana, the Black Spruce, is a North American species of spruce tree in the pine family. It is widespread across Canada, found in all 10 provinces and all 3 Arctic territories. Its range extends into northern parts of the United States: in Alaska, the Great Lakes region, and the upper Northeast. The Black Spruce adapts to the harsh environment of the taiga because ir enjoys the the cold, and poor soil. It has layered twigs with waxy pine needles and a rough bark. These adaptions help avoid fires and predators. This tree also does not have a special root system.

2.

Sphagnum Moss: This plant has no special root system and is part alive/ part dead. Peat greenery can grow up to 50 centimeters tall. Peat greenery becomes the most during summer months. It develops near one another and structures a thick tangle. Its leaves are lance or cup molded some are thick and swollen with water others are more slender. Peat Moss reproduces in two ways and adapts to taiga by making its own habitat. It holds rainwater and is not endangered because it can grow in many places.

1. wolverine: The wolverine, gulo, likewise alluded to as the indulgent person, carcajou, skunk bear, or quickhatch, is the biggest land-abiding types of the family Mustelidae. It is a stocky and solid flesh eater, more intently looking like a little bear than different mustelids. The wolverine adapts by it's powerful body and ability to stand cold from its fur. This animal also has a tough jaw with sharp teeth, along with long, dangerous claws. They have a good sense of smell for hunting and snowshoes to keep safe from the cool ground.

2. river otter: one animal that can be found in the North American Taiga is the river otter, they can be found from 45 to 66 degrees north latitude. It is 25-30 inches in length from head to body, and its tail is 16-18 inches in length. They weigh around 10-33 pounds. They have a long, slim, and smooth body with a decreased tail. They have a coat that is about 2.5 inches thick. Stream otters have two distinct kinds of hide: they have an external layer of watchman that secure their other arrangement of hide which is an inward layer of short, thick hide. The stream otter has a dim dark colored back and can be either light darker or dim on the stomach. The state of its head is little, round, and smoothed. The river otter is a vulnerable animal and is endangered but some of its adaptions include its guard hair to keep warm, marking territory with scent glands. This sweet animal also cannot survive if its environment does not have healthy fish.
