The tragic love story of Cecilia and Robby is one of the only that can make me vicariously feel sad. The book engages all of my emotions, which is how I know a book appeals to me. I mainly feel anger and I am spiteful towards Briony Tallis, Cecilia's little sister, who ruins everything. No one else can make the decision for me to use my skills and stop wasting my time. It has also helped me in many social situations, as it is a movie nearly everyone has seen, giving me a topic of conversation. It made me uneasy all throughout reading it. Even more fascinating is how Huxley thought the world would be in the future, and how he portrayed it back in the 1930s. As much as I love being independent, I still care very much about my parents' interests. It made me realize how you can equivocate something so deep, with such simplicity and little words. I frequently try and find short, meaningful poems, as sometimes they are the ones who can impact the most, such as this one.
