That day, we learnt how to design an interior using vanishing points and perspective lines. It was a struggle at first, but then it became easier as I progress
I gave 62%
The day after, we improved our interior design that we had worked on the previous day. Mrs Yeo helped to point out my errors twice, but I learnt from the errors and found out why it was an error.

After that, we tried to draw a one point perspective living room. My idea is to have a chill atmosphere. Outside the window is a Modern city with a lot of buildings. I didn’t have high expectations of drawing well. However, in the end I am satisfied with the drawing. And if I were to rate this drawing, I would give it a 5.5/10. It still has a lot of room for improvements (but like I said, I am satisfied with this drawing)

I drew my own version of a living room using sea creatures as they fascinate me. It will also be really interesting if I can just look out of the living room and look at the wonderful animals in the sea that we do not usually see. I added a starfish carpet because they are one of my favourite sea creatures. I also added some plants, family photos, a clock and books to make it look similar to my home. I really liked my work but Ms Yeo said it was a bit to small so I am thinking of adding a painting in the rectangle below the clock. I drew heart-shaped windows because it is one of my favourite shapes.

The story of the picture is that one day a mad scientist that made a few embryos which is a lizard and a fish with a freak accident with the embryos and radioactive materials he created GODZILLA! The next day it some how escaped the scientists lab and wreaked havoc on the city soon a few portals opened in the sky and out came brainwashed luffy and big mom and they helped Godzilla wreak havoc on the city and in our living

The 1st pic I focused on the perfectness of the shapes and focused on the line weight so if I did a mistake,I can just erase it easily.The 2nd pic I also focused on the line weight.I tried my best to blend the colours but it didn’t turn out that good and disappointed myself.In third pic,I drew my own living room if it was brand new and turned out not that good because I didn’t finish colouring and didn’t shade my colours even though I had a lot of colour pencils.Out the window u can see aliens invading the world and I know it is boring but I know Zheng Xian’s story outside is way better than mine.Even Zacus’ drawing of the living room is better than mine.I tried drawing with precision to not make any mistakes and focused on the angle of the lines so that it is perfect and I’m still not that impressed with my drawing

I did one point perspective and at first, I thought it was difficult but as I continued, it was easier than I thought it would be. I followed the dot in the middle to draw lines to make it look more realistic. For the living room story, it is underwater because the world is full of aliens but aliens cannot be underwater so the people decided to live there.

Doing one point perspective is really difficult for the first time but after doing it during Art class and at home, I kind of got the hang of it

For the one point perspective of my name , I didn’t really like it as it was not in line and it was overlapping. The blending for my name doesn’t look that good as well. Maybe after a few try’s of doing my name, I will get better at it.

My living room does not look like what I expected it to look like. It was uneven , the sofa and the table are very far away from the tv. I could do better.

I haven’t finished this piece or artwork yet as I haven’t coloured it. However, I still think that it looks very neat but still needs some tweaking of some things. It was hard to draw the letters as I did not know how to draw the letters in block style but after Ms Yeo gave a suggestion on how to draw the letters, it became much easier! On the first lesson of Art, I learned how to draw one point perspective shapes and my own name. On the second lesson of Art, my unique idea outside a one point perspective living room was a Godzilla. As I was not careful enough, I had a paper cut. On the third lesson of Art, my goal was to colour my Godzilla in a realistic way. But sadly, I was not able to finish as I was not focus.

I used to think one point perspective was really hard, until I actually tried it. Turns out it was not as hard as I thought it was.
It’s really about accuracy. I intentionally only coloured the letters
and drew another shape behind it to give it a 3D effect. The room, however was my favourite thing to draw, as I could add my own personal touch to it. I could use whatever colour, style, background and even scenery! Although I am disappointed about not getting to finish my colouring, I am still impressed with my drawings. The scene was a wizards duel happening outside while the inside was a calm and peaceful house which shows a great contrast.

Reflection: My team members are Ansh and Arockan. I helped them took photos. 1st was Arockan’s photo, staring him doing serious punch against bajirang gun (Ansh’s hand), and 2nd was Ansh’s photo starring Arockan’s hand flattening Ansh (because Arockan said he is short already). I worked together with Angel today and it was really fun to take a picture like this as it is new to me and I have never tried it before! However as this is my first time, I feel that the picture I took is not as good as my other classmates but I will try harder next time and get a better result!

I think that self portrait is actually high quality and really easy for me to create. However, in the process , it was kind of hard for me to draw the eyes. So in my opinion, I feel like the time and effort I have put in this art is not worth in for the end result(this is my opinion).

I used to think that self-portraits were boring and hard, but now i think that it is fun to draw how ever i still think it is not easy to draw myself. The eyes showed the disappointment in other eyes and i feel like it was displayed well. I used to think that drawing portraits would be fun but also difficult and after finishing this portrait artwork, I feel that I was absolutely right about that. This was indeed quite hard to draw but was also extremely fun as well. It was hard to make the eyes have a feeling of extreme frustration but it was a new experience for me to draw realistic eyes and even a whole body at the bottom right! During my free time at home, I would definitely love to draw these kinds of portraits again. This artwork’s idea was all thanks to Ms Yeo, she showed us many ideas for this portrait artwork! Ms Yeo also introduced us to blenders to help our artwork look more realistic with shading.

I used the technique taught by Ms Yeo.As u can see in the somewhat middle page,I tested out the eye technique first before I actually drew the artwork.The smaller television(I would say on top of the bigger one)was a draft before I drew the bigger one.Also Ms Yeo taught me about how to draw realistically for the rest of the features of the face(nose mouth etc)Although I may be satisfied with this artwork, me personally,I don’t even like the nose and the mouth in my drawing.

i kind of despise how emo this is but honestly its too late to redo it.

I was a bit lazy HAHA i just made cracks to hide the mouth and other eye so i wouldnt have to do them.

I probably would’ve coloured more if i had the time.

At first I thought self potrauts was hard, but now I think it is easier with Miss Yeo’s guidance.The drawing has a lot of masks with a girl choosing and taking off her mask while crying. If people observe closely, there are no crying or upset masks. This means the girl is putting on a fake smile in front of others while hiding her own emotions to not make people worry or just not wanting to be seen as weak. Or maybe she is the friend who always comfort people and must always put on a happy face.

I drew a self portrait of all the things that are on my mind. All the things I drew are what I do and eat during the day. I had to put “ study” in there as I am preparing for Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE). I read a lot at home because that is my hobby. I also write in my dairy all the happy and sad memories that I experienced. I listen to music while doing my work because for some reason, it helps me to focus. When I have enough time, I would paint with my sister. My brother likes history and he would tell me everything he learnt from his history book. At the start of the artwork, I thought of remembering the first 12 yrs of my life, so I thought of drawing this.

Before I drew this self portrait, I don’t think I thought about my life much. After I drew this artwork, I quite of remembered more about my purpose in life.

I do not know what I should say about it, but maybe I will finish it another time. One more thing I will say is that the black parts of the artwork represents the unknown things in life.

For my self portrait, I went for the landscape and thinking about something. This is based on something I absolutely admire. I… wrote about ts( wow, real shocker). For my face, I put all my favourite ts songs from each album. And I also included all the ts album names on the side. Lastly, the words on the side are lyrics from my favourite ts song(august). By the way ,there are words on my face as I tried to recreate my favourite ts album.I used to think drawing self portraits were boring and difficult, but now after learning I can incorporate my swiftieness in it, I enjoy it. This was really fun but I’m not so happy with this as I felt I could have maybe added something more but just didn’t know what to add. I feel that the fish tank under the television is really cool, got that idea from Ms Yeo. I wanted the scenery to be of a really relaxing view of mountains. Overall, this was extremely fun to draw.

I use to think that (MY) self portrait is ugly , hard to do , very boring and not interesting. But now I think that if you use your creativity it’s actually not that bad . I finished my artwork today,I used puzzles pieces for the eye , nose and mouth . For the background,I coloured it midnight blue to stand for the Midnight album (by Taylor Swift),the music notes at the background represents my pride as a swiftie,the stars are the people who supported me in my life. The colour of each music notes represents Speak now,Red ,1989,Evermore and Folklore/Reputation. I think I did a great in this piece of artwork, I used to not enjoy drawing self portrait as I did not have a way with proportion of my face, and I did not know that self portrait could be drawn in this manner. After this programme,I realised that self portrait isn’t always about proportion, being able to create such amazing artwork by myself and of course with the help of Ms Yeo, I am surprised that drawing self portrait could be so easy. I think I had surprised myself this time!

I used to think that art is all about paint paper and colour pencils, but now after this lesson I think art is about creativity and expressing yourself even if it is through nature such as using leaves, flowers, branches, flowers and if resources are available even ice and sand can be used !

I used to think that art was supposed to be permanent but now I think that sometimes art does not necessarily have to stay. I made a huge flower mandala with my own group which involved Xinyi, Ludwig, Ayanna and myself and another group which involved Extyen, Shareeq, Hady and Ansh. After we made the mandala, we had to return tour resources to nature. I was sad that we had to see our artwork go but this experience taught me a valuable lesson.

This is our final result of our teamwork.We had so much fun trying to find and make using the materials, despite the lack of time

My reflection: I used to think that Art is only made with paints, drawings, etc, but now I think that we can make Art with any kind of material (as long as it is safe).

At first, we thought that it was going to be impossible. However, it is actually possible. So, at the end, we managed to do it. I think that it was just getting dirty as we need to go out to find pieces of leaves, twigs and fallen fruits.When we tried, it was supper nice.

I used to think doing land art with just items from the ground was difficult, but now i think it is very doable! So… this is a concept of time. The story behind it is that someone wants revenge on someone and after getting it, they feel overjoyed. However ,over time, after they realise the consequences of their actions, they feel sad and shameful. In my opinion, yellow represents happiness while red and blue embody shame and sadness respectively.

The inspiration behind my artwork of the concept of “TIME” is all my happy memories being kept inside of an hourglass and forever being replayed over and over again. I have tried digital drawing before, however , I only got used to the basics and didn’t know a lot of shortcuts or ways to make my artwork look smoother and better. Thus I feel that if I were to try digital art again, I would definitely learn more about digital art first! Nevertheless, I feel that this was a wonderful experience and I really enjoyed it.

the inspiration behind my artwork of the concept of ‘TIME’ is my grandmother’s old pocket watch and how she always relied on someone to ring the bell in her village so she’d wake up on time. The pocket watch is a newer one, though. I find it interesting how along the years we have made so many new things to tell the time. Time always goes on and never stops for anybody. I find that intriguing.

I thought about Egypt’s past and the people’s actions in the past. So, I drew the obelisk in Egypt where tourists come to visit in the 1900s. “2 o’ clock!” That is what the obelisk says. The grey people or shadow are the people at the time of the visit was dead people in the past hoping to live there again. This shows that people, alive or dead, still want to be at home.
