    Target: Those who are addicted to social media and other digital media apps. This can be seen through the metaphor of pills with app logos, signifying the dependence on them.
    Failing: People have grown so used to social media that they view it as a necessity, almost like a drug, and shows no sign of stopping soon. 
    Strategy: The image uses exaggeration as it depicts our social media use as an unrealistic extreme, comparing it to addictive drugs. While we have not reached that level of craving, the image shows what it reach through escalation of dependency.

    Failing: The Afghanistan war, and its complete lack of an outcome, and the true intentions of starting the war in the first place.
    Strategy: Sarcasm, the meme pretends to be saying that the U.S gave up and withdrew too early, instead ofpushing further and exploiting Afghanistans resources. Of course we as the viewer know this is absurd, the war was a pointless conflict that took too long and too many lives. The meme criticsizes the government for starting the war to get resources, spending 20 years trying to get them, failing to do anything, and then giving up and pulling out, leading to the Taliban taking over and truly lamenting the U.S's laughable foreign policy.
    Desired Outcome: For the war to have not been started in the first place, really the creator of the meme knows its too late to stop the damage and would rather have people just call out the U.S government.
