         <description><![CDATA[<div>We are introducing our PBL project this week. This is the basic overview, and we are providing the students will a packet that includes; project directions, sample topics, project sequence, timeline directions, rubrics, a group contract, and group self reflection. Our goal is to give students choices on creating a project that showcases Americans taking a stand throughout history. Leaves a lot of room for student choice and creating a project on a topic they are interested in or what to know more about. We are also doing project workshops throughout the unit. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>My students are analyzing satire in Huck Finn. We spent about three weeks learning about the different types of satire and the different things Twain satirizes in the novel. I wanted students to do an essay. I realized that the most important thing for this assessment was for them to analyze satire in writing, so I decided to give them four different prompts that they could choose from. They also had the ability to choose how they showed prewriting/outlining, so no one is stuck doing something that doesn't fit their writing style. After students had time to work, they completed a self-evaluation where they rated themselves on their progress and discussed what was easy/challenging. I met with them one-on-one to address the areas of struggle. They will be doing a peer workshop on their essays on Friday.</div>]]></description>

They could use any app, they could write, they could make a video, a podcast, to complete the assignment.
