Even though the top one is Meditation, my favorite self-care activities are Reading at night or Movie time at home with my family. I love these two activities because I really feel disconnected from uncomfortable moments, and it is a stress-free experience. They work for me, as a result I consider them beneficial and worthy. Most important it is a time for me.&nbsp; These activities you can do them during the day if you want, but I prefer to do it at night.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div><strong>Reading:</strong> I do it before going to sleep.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello Everyone, My name is Maria!&nbsp;</div><div>I'm super excited to share my experience with you!</div><div>This week I had the opportunity to practice Yoga, a self-care technique that has helped me tremendously connect with my heart, soul, mind, and body.</div><div>I regularly practice other self-care techniques, one of my favorites is journaling, which I usually use to write down my intentions and positive affirmations for the week. Every Sunday I also take the time to write down things I am grateful for and meditate for at least 20 minutes before bed. This week I used this assignment as inspiration to pick up practicing yoga again, a self-care activity I really enjoy and haven't been able to do in a while. I practiced yoga for 45 minutes to an hour every day.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>It was incredibly beneficial; it served as a mental detox, relieving any anxieties and clearing out all negative thoughts and worries.&nbsp; It also helped with movement and flexibility in my body by decompressing and loosening up my muscles and removing tension and tightness from my muscles. It helped me connect with my inner self and brought me back to the present moment. I'm looking forward to keeping up with my yoga practice and achieving the ultimate goal of releasing blockages and feeling much more harmonious, at peace and liberated. &nbsp;<br>I'm looking forward to reading about your experience for this week's reflection. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Greetings everyone ¡&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Thank you for taking your time to read my report from week 7 name this time self-care for teachers.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>My name is Danny D. Gomez,&nbsp; I´m a high school teacher and I have been for about thirteen years now, I could say that the experience of teaching high schooler while it can be satisfying, it is also fair to say that it is very exhausting and tiring too, the problem with this is that you can transmit (sometimes unconsciously) this problem to your students&nbsp; that&nbsp; can experience an abundance of stress which can be detrimental to health, as well as learning.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>If we consider burnout as a problem in the effectiveness of students learning, teachers should consider that we must seek solutions to deal with this phenomenon.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Stress management and self-soothing techniques are critical for surviving, specially if you are an active teacher,&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Here are a couple of things a do to deal with work-life balance and self-care:<br><br></div><div>Running because if you do it for at least 10 minutes a day can significantly lower your risk of cardiovascular disease. Runners lower their chances of dying from heart disease by half. After 10 minutes of running routine, I feel more alert and less stressed.<br><br></div><div>Watching tv because it’s something that I love doing a lot, not many things are more relaxing that watch a good movie, especially with your family. &nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hi all, My name is Ronny!&nbsp;<br>I'm really stoked to share my amazing workout experience with you guys!<br><br>I usually workout 5 times per week as a self -care activity, but due to the day light saving I am just working out 3 times per week until march.&nbsp;<br><br>Let me tell you why I workout, exercise can help improve your mood, give you energy, and even extend your life span. If exercise could be made into a pill, it would become a multi-million dollar industry because it has such significant benefit in almost all areas of health, including mental health. Luckily, this wonder drug is accessible to all on a sliding scale from free on up.&nbsp;<br><br>I also like going running because as Danny Gomez mentioned, it can lower cardiovascular risks, and I wanna get rid off my belly as well. 😅 😂 🤣<br><br>To sum up, if you are not working out at least 3 times per week, you have to consider doing it, I know that it can be challenging to find time in your busy schedule to exercise but keep in mind that any activity is better than none.&nbsp;<br><br>Always remember this; “If you don’t make time for exercise, you’ll probably have to make time for illness.” 🧐<br><br>Thank you so much for reading this! I am here to share with you about my self-care technique.<br>The self care technique I chose was Quiet time with coffee.</div><pre>To put this self care technique in practice I set aside  some time without my kids at one friend of mine house and enjoy a cup of coffee quietly tasting every sip slowly while looking to the sky in the afternoon.</pre><div><br>Doing this was very relaxing to me. Because at that momemt I freed my mind from everything and just enjoyed my coffee quietly while feeling the soft breeze blow.&nbsp;<br><br>I Usually enjoy having a cup of tea or coffee or even some hot chocolate while seatting in a comfortable and nice&nbsp; place. I Like to do this accompany most of the time with my three years old son 🙃 He takes some juice and seat with me as my accompanying.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Including in our routines time for ourselves should be a priority, however, we tend to leave it for later or just don't pay attention when our bodies and minds are claiming some time to relax and unwind.&nbsp;<br><br>When this happens I feel horrible and no matter how much I love teaching and learning, everything becomes too heavy to be carried. This is the moment I say that I need some time in order to be able to continue positively.&nbsp;<br><br>Usually in order to feel better I read something (a book or comics), watch something alone or with my family. And even better I go out to run or walk with my daughter.&nbsp; If I don't do any of that, hanging out with my friends is also nice.&nbsp;<br><br>I really want to integrate Yoga to my routine again, I find it quite interesting, relaxing and beneficial. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I chose to take care of myself by doing something I specially enjoy doing, which is enhancing my calligraphy and lettering skills. Practicing calligraphy is one of my top hobbies, since it improves my concentration, it's meditative, relaxing,&nbsp; and helps me tune fine motor skills with every stroke.<br><br>I practiced this activity by sitting&nbsp; comfortably on my desk or dining table, surrounded by a bunch of lettering materials and a calligraphy pad. Also, I am used to preparing myself some chamomile tea or hot cocoa depending on the mood for the day. This self-care idea was pretty beneficial, as it helped me relax for quite a moment while I let my creativity run free.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I chose meditation as my self-care technique. As I didn't have any experience with it, I started by watching a documentary on Netflix called Guide to meditation. This type of self-care was beneficial because it allowed me to understand more my mind and practice some breathing exercises which help me release some stress. As teachers, we have a lot of things on our plates, we are always planning, and looking for activities to do with our students, and strategies to improve our teaching, and when we are not teaching, we just carry on with our everyday tasks, but it is so difficult for us to find time for ourselves, to relax and be calm. After practicing this technique I feel happier, calmer, and more relaxed.&nbsp;I hope you can try it and enjoy the benefits of meditating. By Isamar Torres</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello, how are you, I hope you are very well, it is a pleasure and a pleasure for me to share with you the self-care technique that I chose, the truth is that I practice many self-care techniques but the one that I have needed the most these days and which I have neglected the most is the intellectual self-care, emphasizing that this is necessary to exercise the mind and keep our brain stimulated, sometimes as the days go by I forget to take my books and enjoy them or just go to the bookstore and taste new books, for me reading is magic, it's like traveling in time and living in the flesh the stories I read, it is also a way to give me some time for myself and enjoy my company, in this case for this activity I went with a friend which also loves to read and we each chose our books and we sat next to each other to enjoy our company doing what we like.&nbsp;<br><br>In conclusion this technique was very beneficial to me because it reminded me of how much I love to read and how much I needed it.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello everyone, I’m Elvin and I chose my self-care technique about doing something that I enjoy so much, which is watching anime and movies.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>I put this in practice when I feel tired or stress by lot of work or some situations that make me feel bad, I take a time at week to watch anime or movie. In that time a take coffee and eat popcorn. I can be doing that for hours.<br><br></div><div>This one of my favorite things that I do, and to hang out to visit different places.<br><br></div><div>To do this was very relaxing to me. I usually do it. Because at that moment I felt very good, it so relax to me. I love to watch anime and movie and take coffee and eat popcorn.<br><br></div><div>This self-care technique was beneficial to me, because I feel better, more relax, with more energy. Lariza's here!<br><br>I do many things for having a relaxing or chilling time , such as dancing, watching videos on youtube , listening to music and so on, but one of the things that I like the most is watching series on Netflix. I like laying on my bed and just relax while I enjoy one of my favorite series. That's a time for just forgetting about everything and just enjoy.<br><br>Practicing a self-care activity really benefits your health specially your mental health . It gives you time to stop and take a real breath and recharge your energies. It is like having a "blue day" for yourself. "Blue day" is a day where you don't have anything to be done or to be completed ,you don't have any pressure or responsibility , just chilling out. By just doing what really makes you happy like going to the beach, reading a book , listening to music, take a walk etc you create your "blue day" routine.<br>&nbsp;<br>We as teachers have many tasks and most of the time take assigments to our homes, which is a really wrong desition. So we DO need time for ourselves, in order to overcome mental issues.<br><br>What's your "blue day"?</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello there!</div><div><br></div><div>Here I am to explain and&nbsp; show a Little part of my life.&nbsp;</div><div>I have spent a few years using Reading routines to reduce stress of days at school. This has helped as well to&nbsp; relax and to Improve my concentration and with something that nowadays is somewhat common: Overthinking. When I am so stressed or when I can not forget about something.&nbsp;</div><div>I get home at night, I prepare a hot cup of chocolate or a cup of wine and I play an instrumental and&nbsp; I travel to other places,&nbsp; countries, to another life and to Identify myself to other characters sometimes.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>This&nbsp; technique has helped me not only on overworking days, it has been good for me when I am on vacation, too. When I need to take advantage of those free days. It has helped me to disconnect from my teaching days, to planning, all of the things that teachers do.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Now, I would like to show you some phases of my favorite book:&nbsp;</div><div><strong><em>The Little Prince</em></strong> by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry</div><div><br></div><div>"Caminando en línea recta no puede uno llegar muy lejos".</div><div>&nbsp;"Sólo se ve bien con el corazón; lo esencial es invisible a los ojos".</div><div>&nbsp;"Al primer amor se le quiere más, a los otros se les quiere mejor".</div><div>&nbsp;"El sentido de las cosas no está en las cosas mismas, sino en nuestra actitud hacia ellas".</div><div>&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;Yes, impossible to not be immersed in those phases, imagine with those phases in a story.&nbsp;</div><div><br>Thanks for reading me!<br><br>With love,&nbsp;</div><div>Clarisa Amador&nbsp;</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Self-Care and Enjoying the Nature on a Bike🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hello!!!<br>My name is Gisselle Báez, and I am from Villa Altagracia one of the most rainny plave of the Dominican Republic, because it is located in a Valley, bordered for so many mountains, rivers and wood.<br>That is why, it is a pleasure walking very early in the Morning or riding.<br><br>I love riding bike with my husband.<br>It makes me feel relaxed and it is a complete exercise, too.<br><br>I just try it, when I feel stressful to relax myself and share with him at the same time.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Something I like to do as a form of self-care is being out in nature, it relaxes me taking a breath of fresh air and being able to see how calm nature can get, I especially like the beach and take every change I can get to go to the beach. It's really soothing to see how steady and calm the water is, the salty smell and the sun above the water. I also like mountains where you can see miles and miles of green, smell the clean air and listen to the sound of birds.<br><br>I am not always able to go to the beach or mountains, luckily I live in a residential are where I can walk and see lots of trees and listen to a lot of different birds. I think being out in nature is one of the most soothing techniques one can get for free :) ALorenzo</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Hi Everyone! I'm Daniela Frias and I'm a teacher.<br><br>I have many self-care, but that one that I really enjoy and make me feel very relax is listening music. So when I get very stressful, I just try to turn on the radio and listening and singing my favorite music while I'm doing my chores or homework.&nbsp;<br><br>Listening music disconnect me from all the stress that I get during the whole week and&nbsp; getting me relax from the stress, I forget whatever worry situation when I listen to music.<br><br>I use to put this in practice with my students too,  because I know that will work with them and I got a great result.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
