Many of the participants in the scandal were attorneys and almost 30 of them faced some type of legal proceeding. After Watergate, most law schools in the United States required courses about professional responsibility, and the American Bar Association rewrote its responsibility code. 40 government officials indicted or jailed.</div>]]></description>

The CROWN Act, which was drafted and sponsored by State Senator Holly Mitchell, and was passed unanimously in both chambers of the California Legislature. It aims to end cultural and racial discrimination taking place within workplaces and schools and to protect students' rights to wear or treat their hair however they desire, without the threat of racial discrimination or loss of access to school, participation in activities, and inclusion in opportunities inside and beyond typical classrooms.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
