All the raven can say is 'nevermore' and the poem ends on the mystery of what this could mean. -This particular poem is still iconic today, there are parodies and even memes inspired by it and cult following can be observed in some subcultures and movements.
-Raven's alongside other carrion birds are still representative of death due to obvious connections but in the 1800's where ideas of the supernatural and superstitions were still adhered to they were believed to be bad omens.
-Both film and television have been inspired by the poem and several well-known actors have done readings of it.
