(Friendships) (My story) 
| When I was in elementary schools I had just moved from my old school to this brand new school (I was in second grade) I did not have any friends at that time and their was this game called unicorn tag (Normal tag but who is it is the unicorn) I tried to join in their game but they told me to go away. Their was another kid with me who also had just moved to the school she had white skin and they asked her to join the fact how I asked first and they rejected me yet not even a minute before I left they had found someone else to join them and their “UnIcOrN tAg”.

| African Americans were not allowed to use the restrooms or other facilities white travelers took for granted. Black families had to develop all sorts of strategies to make a road trip workable. (THIS IS CRAZY)

Choosing Resistance: How did enslaved individuals define and navigate a path of resistance and what were the consequences?

READ:
For those who were enslaved, resistance meant making choices that asserted their fundamental humanity. Many nurtured a cultural community, and others sought emotional support through marriage, even though their unions were not recognized by the law.
Some individuals tried negotiation as a means to improve their conditions while others resisted by seizing opportunity as they arose. All forms of resistance could result in punishment, but running away and fighting back were the most dangerous actions of all.
