A 2020 World Economic Forum (WEF) report suggests that, if  we continue to do nothing about the salary gap between women and men, it will be another 100 years until women receive equal pay for equal work.

Each day, almost 1,000 women die from complications, which most of them can be prevented, related to pregnancy and childbirth. Children of sick mothers are less likely to access healthcare themselves, and older children are usually forced to take care of younger siblings.

Especially in continents such as Africa, where the water supplies needed for daily life are far from where people live, women are responsible for sourcing water.
6. Child Marriage and Other Forms of Gender-Based Violence
According to UNICEF, today more than 700 million women were married before they turned 18. Today in some parts of the world, women face physical and sexual violence either from their fathers or husbands in the name of a so-called honour.
