As world war one ramped up many African American men headed into battle and many didn't make it back but best believe lynching's were high and racial tension was somehow just as rampant.

after the war

after the first world war sadly race relations only got worse since new age republicans took over and fueled the flames of division. The klu klux klan came back in a very terrifying way for any non white in the area.

The great depression

When the great depression started african americans were the first to be laid off. they had rates of unemployment 2-3 times worse than whites did but they stillmade do with what they had.

world war 2

As they battled racism on the battle field and home many African American men and women served in world war two and for a short time race relations seemed to even out but as we all know that didn't last long.
