if you use use reusable items you won't need to use non-reusable items like plastic cutlery and plastic straws.

2)Buy as much as you can eat
sometimes if you buy too much or can't finish your dinner you can put it in a reusable container and save it for tomorrow so that you don't waste your food and you'll save more money.($^$)

3)Start composting
Whenever you eat a banana what you have left is usually a banana peel and instead of throwing it in the bit you can start composting and throw it into the wild for it to rot into dirt. it helps the earth 2 times as much!

4)Repair your broken items
instead of buying a new shirt when it gets broken you can repair it in a shop, do it yourself or even ask a friend/family to help it will save you money and helps the earth at the same time
   
5)Donate your old clothes
If you can't repair a clothing item or it's too small you can donate your old clothes insteadand help poor people that can't afford clothes.

6)Thrift
Being thrifty is being wise on your financial decisions
by reusing old materials to save your money. An example is my grandma uses her old cookie box container to store food and saves money by using the cookie box instead of buying new containers and at the same time she is helping the earth by not throwing away the cookie box.

This is bad because if we harvest more materials we'll release C02 and pollute the air which will cause icebergs to melt and raise the water levels which will probably flood HK. C02 is created by burning carbon and when it burns it creates a gas that can pollute the air.   TED talk 

And even if we incinerate our trash it can release dangerous toxic chemicals and cause acid rain. Acid rain is bad because when acid rain falls it releases particles that can give you lung diseases and make it hard for you to breathe. This is bad cause if you have a lung disease you will have a harder time living.   Green choices


also in the Norwegian arctic researchers have found that huge traces of plastic particles are bonding with sea ice! And the government is scared that it poses a threat to the ocean life of the Norwegian arctic. And if this continues an animal could go extinct and it could destroy its ecosystem and invasive species can invade the ecosystem then more animals will die which can create more invasive species. The ocean is constantly being littered in and theres so much trash in the ocean that 3 in 4 deep water fishes have traces of micro-plastics in them. 1. How much trash do you produce in a day?
most students in Y6 produce an normal amount of waste(5-10)and tied to that was a good amount of waste
(7-10).

2. What kind of waste do you produce the most?
The top answer is plastic and the second most chosen answer is food waste.

3. If a cashier offers you a plastic bag would you accept it?
The top answer is depends(only if their in a rush or they forgot their reusable bag) the second most chosen answer is almost never(They usually bring a reusable bag and they barely ever use a plastic bag).

4. How important is reducing waste to you?
1st answer is pretty important(3-10) and in 2nd most chosen answer is neutral(5-10)

5. How knowledgeable are you about proper waste management?
Most people know a decent amount of it(3-5). And the 2nd most chosen answer is a pretty good amount(4-5).
