In the text I learned many different facts about different kinds of fruit. The main character went shopping with her dad to buy these different kinds of fruits to make their own fruit salad. One fruit I read about was called an elephant apple. These apples are very large and bumpy. They are named after an elephant because of their size. I thought the blood orange was interesting because it's juice is red like blood which is why it is called a blood orange.
