It is a sign of the closeness South Africans feel towards Nelson Mandela that so many call him Madiba, his clan name and affectionate nickname.For in South Africa, Madiba is still seen as the warm and wise father of a transformed nation,as well as a truly global statesman.He was born in 1918,son of a member of royal house of the Thembu tribe.The schools Mandela attended were modelled on the British system;he later said he was taught to be a “black Englishman”.As a black South African,however,his freedoms were strictly limited.The young lawyer joined the African National Congress,dedicated to ending,via peaceful means,the apartheid system of racially based division and discrimination.But faced with the regime’s increasingly brutal repression,Mandela was charged with organizing an armed wing of the ANC. After months of living and working underground,he was arrested in 1962.Tried for treason two years later,he was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole.

I’m really impressed with his saying that in order to success, it is important for us to ensure that education reaches everybody no matter how old are they.Without education,our children can never really meet the challenges they will face.So,it is very important to give children education and explain that they should play a role for their county.I can this is one of the key of success of our hero Mandela.Mandela really work hard to urge the society to be valuable and responsible leadership in order to achieve many things in their life.Whether it is success or failure,we still have to continue our life by building strong strength to overcome any kind of barriers.

Besides that, Mandela revealed that his son Makgotha had died from AIDS though few knew that he was even ill.From that incident onward, Mandela will support and give courage to those who are suffering from AIDS and he will tell to the crowd that “Do not isolate people who are suffering from terminal diseases because that alone kills people far more than the disease itself”.He also did mention that it is important to not be hostile to what a greater part of society has embraced,whether as Christians,Hindus or Muslims. It is important to respect that because whether we believe or not in the existence of a superior being,humanity does believe in that.The relationship between a man and his or her god is a personal matter;we can’t go out and challenge the belief of people in a superior being.

Throughout my reading, I learned numerous behavior and how to serve humanity to needy people and treat them in proper way.I am so impressed to read the article about him as I can apply all the good ones in my life to become such a humble and caring person in the society.I would like to say that one of the great article that I have read in my entire life and I’m ending my blog by his saying “ A winner is a dreamer who never gives up” and “ It always seems impossible until it’s done”.
