I would say also before watching the video that the management of techonology have been, is and will be crucial.
My reflections about the topic are: on the one hand, because without management of technology you are not competitive. It doesn´t matter what sector you work in. Even in the most traditional, handmaking small familiar they manage technology to be more competitive: for example, even they are using tools from the 60´s they will use social media for marketing, websites, online selling...
But reflecting more deeper, managing technology is backbone for competitiveness of a company because if you don´t work on it the "democratization" of a disruptive innovation it will make fall even a giant of a hypothetical sector. Some of our grandparents were milk sellers everyday, because in two days the milk was expired. Eventually came the fridge and last the tetrabrik. What will be the next? Nobody comes now selling milk in a van.
Eventually, but not least, technology management for a company is as Shakespeare´s to be or not to be for Prince Hamlet. In the video the graphics telling us the importance of the techs were clear. The new sentence for the prince should be to innovate, manage tech, anticipate or die.

As for the Technology of Management, I think that companies should be focus on being able to fulfill he strategic objectives they have marked. For this, it is important to invest in current technology that goes according to the needs of the companies, since this acquisition will make it possible to compete in the market that it operates.

On the other hand, I believe that companies should have a Technology of Management because, when we talk about business competitiveness, now a days we are talking about globalization. In order to compete globally, companies should have enough tools to face a global fight. So, technology can help both improve or create products, services or processes to be more competitive.
 
Finally, the technology can help to the companies to make faster decisions. Because, the information can be the key to this decision making. For example, they may need information of the last set of production and thanks to the technology they can have it at the moment of finishing that set. So, when the companies take some important decisions as quickly as they can, it would be make the difference in being more competitive than other companies.

Apart from that, I had never heard anything about the exponential growth and I will find it really interesting.

Like I said before, I would say that a good technology managent is a base for the exponential growth. It’s clear that growth in various sectors is getting faster so if the technology managent is prepared for that, the company will be competing in the market.

Taking everything into account, in my opinion the technology management is one of the most important parts of a company in almost every facts of growing and competing.
