Quicksand can swallow a person and render them powerless. It can overwhelm them, especially if they fight to get out. If they let themselves be calm/peaceful, they can get out. A rock is difficult to break. Valleys typically symbolize as a low point out of which it is difficult to escape.  The sun symbolizes enlightenment and a bright future in which all people are equal  and quicksand symbolizes a trap from which it is hard to rise, while the “solid rock of brotherhood” is a dependable and stable goal toward which they strive

There is a huge mountain of sadness and negativity. But somewhere deep within that mountain is the courage for people to fight for what's right. This means let all the freedom reach to the top of every nation and let all that freedom hit down hard when it comes down from that very high point.
