The other identity has been told they do not exist, they are sick, they are immoral simply for existing. Taking theories from these studies to inform the work of Student Affairs is necessary so we can understand where these dangerous viewpoints came from and how we can end them. Dewey) so it's important we acknowledge this and literally take the time and energy to be critical of and re-imagine theories. The addition of theory from WGS/Queer Theory/LGBTQ+ Studies has been so critical in starting the movement towards inclusive higher ed literature and practices.
