His bad choices resulted in his death. Ponyboy was expected to not help the kids and the church, because they were greasers, and criminals. (Pages 91 and 92)<br>1b. Ponyboy and Johnny think they started the fire, and therefore they were responsible for getting the kids out. (Pages 91 and 92)<br>2a. Two-Bit expected the Socs to be up to no good and to be trying to fight before the rumble. (97)<br>2b. The Socs really just wanted to talk to Pony, not as Socs and Greasers, but as people.<br>3a. Jerry Wood is wondering who Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally are. He expects them to be some professional&nbsp; hero.(83)<br>3b. Hinton, Ponyboy finds that there is humanity in Bob and Darry that he didn't expect, and also realizes how important his humanity is to his friends.<br>1.&nbsp; "[Pony] didn't hardly think of [Darry] as being human" (18).&nbsp;<br>"[Darry]'s hard as a rock and about as human" (42).<br>2. Pony understands Bob from Randy and Cherry's point of view. (162) Pony acknowledges that Randy isn't a Soc, he's just a guy (118)<br>3.
