         <description><![CDATA[<div>Some similarities that this author presents with ours is that both use their personal expiriences to narrate their stories, and both stories are narrated in first person. Both stpories present similar postcolonial elements such as hegemony, otherness and in-betweenness, so we can assume that both authors, even though lived during different periods, shared at a certain level same type of conflicts. Overall, it was quite interesting to read the work of this group and the presentation was beautiful too.</div>]]></description>

Growing up thinking that they need to behave in a certain way to belong in a society that isn't thair homeland, while on the other hand, not truly belonging to their homeland either, therefore, ending up somwhere between both. The reflection that this group wrote is quite inviting and provocative as it made us think about what they wrote, therefore, tempting us to read the story too.</div>]]></description>

Society gave a lot of importance to your race and being mixed or a "mestizo" could be a reason for being aparted or marginalized from others.
