Fossils can be used as evidence of plate tectonics because if continents have the same fossils they were once together. An example would be the cynogathus, it has been found on continents that have oceans between them. Even though they can’t swim. That’s an example because that means they used to be together, but split without plate tectonics. Without plate tectonics we would not have separate continents.

Glacial deposits can be used for plate tectonics because it can show what was there along with evidence. If there is glacial deposits in the south eastern part of south america and the same deposits in Africa, that tells us something, especially if south america has a perfect west coast it makes even more sense on why they might have been together. without plate tectonics we would still be connected.

Mountains can be used as evidence of plate tectonics because we see that some of the years that mountains formed match up to the years of other mountains. For example, the only way to explain that two mountains were once together but now split is that plate tectonics moved. With out plate tectonics the earth would just be flat and there would be no mountains and it would be a boring earth.
