         <description><![CDATA[<div>It’s the beginning of the journey! They had to go down 3000 feet. It’s was really dark and scary., they also had to go down with ropes. Axel had to confront his fears. At the end, they reached the bottom of the perpendicular chimney. It took them 10 hours and 30 minutes to go down.  They ate and went to sleep.</div>]]></description>

For several hours, they climb, slide, and pick their way through the corridor. Checking their instruments, Axel and the professor determine that they are now ten thousand feet below sea level. Using the climbing ropes, Hans, Axel, and Professor Lidenbrock begin their descent into the darkness. Once again, Axel is confronted by his fears. The descent is slow. When they finally do so, Axel calculates that they have taken over ten hours to descend 2,800 feet below their starting point. Exhausted, they eat and lay down to rest.</div>]]></description>

Axel notes that all the coal in the world will be exhausted by excessive consumption within three centuries if not recognized by the industrial world. At last, they arrive at a dead end and must turn around and go back to the other tunnel.</div>]]></description>

They put some of their stuff on the installation so they didn’t have to carry extra weight on their shoulder. They went down all three at the same time. They descended 3000 feet before they reached the bottom. They then rest and refreshed themselves. </div>]]></description>

We see that professor is sometimes careless, thinking that they can achieve their goals even if they don’t have a lot of water.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The three men eventually continue their way down. Pr.liedenbrock is impressed by all the magnificent rocks, crystals and layers of the earth he discovers. They make their way up to 10,000 feet in depth which surprises Axel. The temperature has not risen enough according to his mesures. The heat would normally be of 81’ but it was of only 15’. This proves Liedenbrock’s theory.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is now june 30, at 6am and they are still going down (reach the end of the chimney) and now need to choose between two other roads. The professor Lidenbrock precise that in each road there is the same rocks but didn’t know where to go so he choose the easter tunnel without thinking about it. At some point Axel just want to stop and goes up because he think that nothing would be found and that they would not have enough water. But lidenbrock don’t want to stop (he is really stubborn).</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>They encounter an intersection and pr.Liedenbrock decided to go East. After a few days of walking, Alxel is starting to doubt is this tunnel is the right way. The passage started to go upwards instead of down into the earth. They eventually reached the layer of the earth where you can observe many crustacean and vegetal fossiles.          <description><![CDATA[<div>After refusing to go back, the three exhausted men continue their way into the East tunnel. They reached a coal mine and the road eventually gets horizontal. At the end of the day, Liedenbrock finally comes to the conclusion that they are not in the right tunnel and that they must go back to the intersection. The men only have one day of water left to get back.</div>]]></description>
