It covered several standards (citing textual evidence, MLA citations, spelling rules, etc.) and was a great way to assess students on past standards. It was a fun assessment because each student was assigned a different person, making it far less monotonous to grade, and students had higher levels of engagement with the bonus option of dressing up as their historical character.
