Saiman Chow is a New York based designer and director. Chow had an interest in manga and ghosts from a young age and by the age of fifteen he moved to Los Angeles and studied at the Art Centre College Of Design to study illustration and design at the age of 15. Saiman Chow is a smart and creative designer and most of his work is inspired by his Asian heritage, food and humour and he has created many stop motion projects in his life. I found a piece of work on the website its nice that with the article “Saiman Chow adopts a psychedelic vibe for his editorial illustrations” here is the link for this website at https://www.itsnicethat.com/articles/saiman-chow-illustration-121017 . You can also view his work on his website at http://www.saimanchow.com/.

I edited this photograph by using Photoshop by changing the hue/saturation. At the second bar at the top I changed the magenta's by setting the hue to -35, the saturation to +45 and the lightness to +24. I then changed the second bar at the top to blues set the hue to +118, set the saturation to -46 and changed the lightness to -30. For the yellows I set the hue to +122. For the reds I set the hue to -41, the saturation was set to -10 and the lightness was set to -11. I like how all the colours of the totem pole jump out and don't fade into one another.

This is a photograph that I took on a visit to the Kelpies on a hot summers day. I edited this photograph on Photoshop by changing the hue/saturation. I set the hue to +88, then set the saturation to +42 and then set the lightness to +5. I really like this photo because the pink and blue link into all the illustrations of Saiman Chow's work.

Here is a photograph that I took on a warm summers day out when I was visiting the Kelpies. I edited this photograph by changing the hue/saturation on Photoshop. I changed the hue to -100, set the saturation to +62 and then set the lightness to -26. I like this photograph because it links with the MIT Technology Review illustration because of the metallic ridges and the green colour used on the leaf.

This is a photograph of leaves and flowers that I took in the grounds of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. I edited this photograph by using Photoshop to edit the hue/saturation. I edited the hue by setting it to -45, I then set the saturation to +37 and then put the lightness to -15. I like this photograph because all the colours are bright and warm which catches the viewers attention.

Sunflower, Clackmannanshire, October 2017

Here is a photograph of a sunflower that my younger brother gave to me which I edited using Photoshop. For this photograph I edited the hue/saturation again, so I set the hue to -38, the saturation was set to +13 and the lightness was set to -8. I then selected the second icon on the top and changed the colour to green, secondly I set the hue to -104, I then set the saturation to +74 and then set the lightness to +3. I then put the second icon onto magenta's and set the hue to -36, the saturation to +94 and the lightness to +55. I like this photograph because the contrast from the orange, pink and blue make the sunflower pop out from the background, I also like how the pink and orange link into the Tame Impala animation
