Together: Research and create a document by combining the following elements: Part 1. A teenager’s view/understanding of perfection and society’s understanding of perfection. Explain. How and on what things does society gauge perfection? ie) Facebook, Instagram - Include comments and images that people post and then others perception of people’s “perfect” life. How has this "idea of being perfect" affected you? Give examples/stats on how teens have responded to the pressure of "striving for perfection." Part 2: The promotion of being perfect. Discuss how businesses promote perfection and how magazines, celebrities and TV promote it as well. Give examples of slogans, any media etc. How has the average consumer responded? Part 3: What does the Catechism say about being perfect and what does it mean to be created in God’s image? Text book/ (refer to CCC- 1702-1705). Find a scripture reference/verse about perfection. Together: Find a song from pop culture that focuses on “perfectionism” (in a positive or negative way) and another from the Christian music industry that focuses on any aspect of perfection. Create/ compile your project and submit to padlet. Make sure your names are included on your padlet entry.
