My working hours start from 9am to 5pm. When i reached there, the manager of U Design Hotel Mentakab, Mr Hoo give some briefing about the management of U Design Hotel and introduce me to the staff. Then, he assigned me in front office of two month and advised the assistant front desk, Fiqa to brief the type of room, the membership, the price of room and meeting room. Fiqa also bring me to walk around every place in this hotel. After that, i help colleagues key in the duty roster in Microsoft Excel. Lastly,  I get the U Design Hotel shirt before I back.

5. Purple Status- Due Out

After that, she also taught me how to make reservation, how to check in, check out guest and generate key when check in. She told me that the most important to key in the personal details of guest are telephone number and name. The telephone number can easily find out the previous record and the personal details of guest. It is easily when making reservation.

For the payment using debit card or credit card, I need to key in the card number and valid date in the payment details then only can process payment. For the cash payment, i need to key in Rm50 as deposit and refund the deposit when checked out.

After check it, i need record in the book and write in the daily cash balancing paper. After done it, put the money in the envelop and put in the coffer at the office.
