The story began with Lisa on the bus, going to piano practice. She notices that the bus driver is not calling the streets by their Jewish names but by other names given by the Nazi (Germans who had recently marched in and taken over Austria).
Lisa went to the Professor for piano practice where he had a guard posted outside his home. After piano practice, she was informed that it was her last practice with the professor. She went home disappointed and her family tried to console her.
Not long after, her dad, a tailor had to put a sign in the window saying he was a Jewish business and the people were not allowed to use the services of Jewish businesses. They had the "Night of the Broken Glass" when the storm troopers came into the Jewish areas and broke all the windows and lamps in the villages. The men were forced to scrub the street in order to humiliate them. Her sister, Sonia was isolated at school because the other children were not allowed to be with the Jewish children. Lisa was a child prodigy in her neighborhood. Everyone loved her music and was proud. In fear for their children, her parents were able to get her signed up for the Kindertransport- a rescue effort that transported the children by train to England.
When Lisa arrived in England she was placed with the children of Willesden Lane. She then started to search for a sponsor for Sonia her sister. Sonia received a sponsor and went to live with a family in England. As the Germans were bombing England everyday in order to take it over, as they had done other countries, Sonia couldn't visit very often because of the danger it posed. After all this, she received a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music. She received a new job at the Howard Hotel, after working at the factory. The music she played was entertaining to the soldiers.

When Germans took over the city of Vienna, they start to change street names and the soldiers pull out the Jews from their homes. Lisa was surprised to notice this as she was on her way to the piano lesson. When she arrived she noticed that her teacher was sad. He was sad because he can’t teach Lisa piano lesson anymore, because she was Jewish and he was not. It was a crime to teach a Jewish child. It was also a crime to do business with the Jewish people. Jews could only go to the Jew business with sign that said Jewish only. So, Lisa’s father now has less business. They struggled and worried about the future. On the event was the Night of Broken Glass. This made Lisa’s parents decided to send Lisa to the Kindertransport to London. Her father gambled a ticket to the kindertransport to London, they where thinking if they send Rosie, Sonia or Lisa. They decide to send Lisa. Her family when to her room to help her to pack her things and one by one leave the room, Lisa was picturing everything before she leave, so she could have the same memories when the family got together again. The Jews were not allowed on the streets at night or in a movie theatres, concerts halls, or most other public places. Lisa got a sponsor from London and worked in a Captain's house. She left the house because she wasn’t happy there, and because she ask if they can sponsor her sister Sonia, the only thing she have in mind is to find an sponsor to bring her little sister from Vienna to London. they toll her they can’t. She want to be with people like her. When Lisa got back to London she was send to the hostal at 243 Wellesden Lane. She found a job at textile sawing company, she was thinking to save money to bring her little sister, Sonia to England with her. Sonia received a sponsor and went to live with a family in England. As the Germans where bombing England every day in order to take it over, as they had done other countries, Sonia couldn’t visit very often because of the danger it posed.

Mrs. Okeke
Baltazar, nice job! Remember to use periods(.) more often and write in the past tense because this story is in the past Ex. use "had" instead of "have",could instead of can.
