I think that when homer left the barn, and he started to find his haven't change. Also, he's now wanted making it harder for him to find Harold because he actively stuck in an air balloon and that he is crashing to the ground. The reason why is because Tilda has a hole in the balloon part and he must find a way to escape, eventually he must jump out or try something to not crash towards the ground inside the basket.

I do not think that Homer is getting his brother for legal reasons. And these legal reasons are because, in the beginning of the chapter Squint sold Harold for 250 dollars. And if Homer tries to get his brother back, the federal law agents would need the 250 dollars back from squint, since Homer is trying to get his brother back, they need a refund. And obviously I doubt that Squint didn't spend the 250 dollars. And I think the book would end in a cliffhanger.

I believe that Homer at the end of the story will join the war with his brother somehow. And I think that Harold will die during the civil war. The reason I think this is because as we started reading the book, it started off with Harold getting sold to the army. Not only that he was sold for money. For 250 dollars. And Since Squint(The Uncle) Sold Harold for 250 dollars and for some Whiskey. Who knows what he did what that 250? And, realistically speaking 250 dollars was a lot of money back then because no one really ever had money like that unless they were something like a Governor or a president.

Not only that, Harold was illegally sold to the army. There was an age requirement and if I'm remembering correctly the age limit was 21 or more. Harold was 15-17 at that time. And I think he is 17 currently right now in the story.

And the reason I think that Harold is going to die is because of the war. It was stated in the story that "There will be lead in the air" Meaning there is going to be a lot of gun action and bombs and stuff. Which can easily kill humans. But there is a low chance Harold. Can survive. Harold either dies, gets injured, or survives.
