1. In your own words, write down five key points that members of the League had to agree with when they joined the League.

2. Which country's refusal to join at the start created serious problems? Why was this country so important to the success of the League? 

3. What do you think were the League’s biggest strengths and biggest weaknesses?

4. How would the citizens of a country feel if the League of Nations imposed sanctions on them? Is that fair?
