Imperative Care’s portfolio includes the Zoom 88 LDP and the Zoom RDL platforms. The Zoom stroke solution includes four vessel-matching Zoom aspiration catheters with an angled tip for enhanced clot ingestion, and the Zoom pump with Zoom pod for sterile-field clot capture. All Zoom catheters are designed with the company’s TRX tip which provides 15% greater clot engagement area at the tip of the catheter with smooth tracking through challenging vasculature (Meglio, 2022).

In the independent, single-center study, 92.7% and 63.4% of the 41-patient cohort who used the platform achieved 2b/3 reperfusion and 2c/3 reperfusion, respectively, based on the thrombolysis in cerebral infarction (TICI) scale. From arrival to discharge, median scores on National Institute of Health Stroke Scale significantly decreased from 10.5 to 1.5 (Meglio, 2022)

The stroke system demonstrated safety as well, with no documented perforations or other reperfusion catheter-related complications (Meglio, 2022).

Furthermore, Zoom 88 provides an excellent intracranial access catheter platform for distal occlusions. Even in the most tortuous cases, we have more than halved our procedural times with rapid initial and repeat passes to the distal circulation as needed (Meglio, 2022)

Notably, there was one instance (2.4%) of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage in the study cohort (Meglio, 2022)

Cost of implementation and lack of resources of hospitals would be a con. With high-end innovation comes a high-end cost. Most facilities would not be able to afford new technology such as this.

Rural hospitals would be a great example of a facility that needs a Stroke System such as this. Rural hospitals can be hours and hours away from facilities that can manage code stroke patients and provide life saving treatment. Unfortunately, rural hospitals do not have the budget or resources that major medical facilities in a metropolitan areas have. It might be difficult for these rural facilities to budget in the cost of such technology.

Overall, the Zoom Stroke Solution created by Imperative Care has seen huge success in treating strokes.

As healthcare providers, we understand that time is of the utmost importance when managing a patient with a stroke. Having resources such as the Zoom Stroke Solution will drastically increase positive patient outcomes and reduce the number of stroke related deaths.

The Stroke System's angled tips allow the catheter to maneuver to areas of the brain that previous systems would not allow for, thus leading to decreased negative outcomes.

The primary concern that I have at this time would be the cost of such machinery and if most hospitals would have the budget for such equipment.

9. Using Strengths

My top 5 strengths

Empathy

Developer

Relator

Belief

Futuristic

My strengths would absolutely be helpful towards the team when seeking to implement a new innovation into the facility where I work. To be successful, it almost always requires a team effort. I believe that my 5 strengths would help to develop my teammates and allow for a cohesive unit focused on one goal (developer and relator), create a vision for how I see the innovation affecting the facility and a plan for achieving these results (futuristic), and use my sense of empathy to relate with people or patients affected by strokes to persuade the facility to use this new innovation (empathy).

Teams:

Alice (Achiever)

Sheila (Strategic)

Angelica (Analytical)

Amelia (Adaptability)

Fernando (Focus)

I decided to choose my team of 5 people based off of the strengths that I believe were needed to implement a new innovation into the facility. My thought process is this: We need someone who can get the job done and that is their main priority no matter the cost. I believe Alice is the person for this job. We need someone who can plan and knows the in's and out's of business and strategy (Sheila). We need someone who is detailed focused, knows the numbers/statistics, and can present the numbers in such a way to be impactful (Angelica). There is always going to be issues that arise when working on a big project with multiple team members so we need someone who can roll with the punches and problem solve (Amelia). Lastly, we need someone to bring everyones focus on the project. We need someone to eat, sleep, and breath this project Fernando and his focus strength would be a perfect addition to the team.
