For example, Gertrude is sexually involved with her husband out of lust for him. Hamlet criticizes her for doing so and committing lustful sins. Gertrude cries because she knows it's true. Most interestingly he did the same with Ophelia- except Hamlet calls Gertrude's actions embarrassing for her age and inappropriate. Gertrude presents herself as weak crying most of the fight because she realizes that what Hamlet had said to her is true.
