It has been 12 hours into space, and i still cannot get over the beautiful scenery of space. The rising and setting of the sun. The observation of layers of brightness above the horizon before the ship would leave the shadow of the Earth. And the fast moving, recognizable but very unusual colorful map of the Earth's surface. I could sit and watch the earth all day, but I only have a day in space! Space is greater than i even imagined it to be.

We have been in space for a few hours now and it is the greatest thing I have ever witnessed. Our take off was smooth, with little to no problems. The feeling of no gravity had me very disoriented at first, but I'm slowly getting used to it. We'll be taking in space for the next day. I can't help but just stare out the window. The earths and space's beauty is breath taking.

We are leaving space today. All of our observations of space has been recorded, and will soon be reported back to our scientists back on earth. I wonder if the gravity on earth will be hard to get used to after being without it for a day. Hopefully our landing goes well and we get home safely. It's kind of strange when i really think about looking at the earth. How many people and places there are and how they all have their own lives. But now i have this whole new perspective and a view of something bigger than my own life.
