         <description><![CDATA[<div>The history of cell membrane discoveries demonstrate that biology is a collaborative endeavor because each discovery was built on the findings of someone else. There had to be a discovery of cells for Fricke to want to study the cell membrane, and the final conclusion that the membrane is made of lipid bi-layers with protein heads had to be backed up by different discoveries. Singer's fluid-mosaic diagram we use today relies on the information that all the previous scientists discovered or proved. Without collaboration, we would not know so much about biology and cells.</div>]]></description>
