Bolivia's form of government is a presidential representative democratic republic. The president is the head of state and is also the head of their country's government. The country has recently written a new format/text for their constitution. The population greatly accepted the new constitution and about 60% voted for it. The country's government was divided into 9 different geographical departments.

They have the right to vote for their leaders. The citizens of Bolivia have a right to a trial. They also have the freedom of expression. There is a lot of violence against women and major concerns about child labor. The military abuses their jurisdiction.

The public picks their leaders through voting elections. It just recently switched to this method after 2005. The president used to pick the people who went into these branches instead of letting the public choose. It's branches of government are legislative, judicial, electoral, and executive. The president is also elected through popular vote just like the other branches.

Bolivia is the worlds third largest producer for cocaine so the government is trying to control it better and is giving harsh penalties for those caught trafficking or with it in their possession. You cannot take cameras or binoculars near cocoa plants. You also can't take pictures of the citizens without their permission. They also have strict laws for theft. If you are caught in an illegal bar you will be detained.

Bolivia's government is far different than an absolute monarchy. Bolivia does not have a king or a queen that has absolute power. Bolivia has different branches of government that have equal power. They also don't believe god gives them the right to rule. Bolivia also has a constitution.
