Why do I need Love?

I have a pattern of gaslighting myself into believing negative things I've been told in the past as a child/teen. This page is to help rebuild my own "love" foundation - and reinforce the truth of my actions/decisions/core of who I am and how I present myself in the world.

I haven't known you long at all but I can already see what an amazing soul you have through your openness and genuine support of others. Most people are afraid to be as open with their heart and emotions as you are, but it's a strength. Not hiding your excitement also means sometimes not hiding your insecurity. But I say embrace it. Every emotion and feeling makes you more amazing in the long run, even if it temporarily brings you down. We need more people in the world open and honest about their emotions: the ups and downs. Continue to flourish and grow.

Honestly I don’t know where exactly to start. There’s so much I love about you. You are very kind and giving. You are the type of person who is there for people when they need it. I hate this saying but it’s the only thing coming to my mind, you don’t just “talk the talk, but you walk the walk”. You actually do things to be an amazing friend, not just say you’ll do things. I know that I can always call you for your support, or even if I need someone to hear me vent. I love you. You are glitter, sparkly hearts, rainbows, and fluffy unicorns in the form of a person.

As someone who is also constantly told I am too loud, happy, extra, glittery, etc - I totally relate to you and your insecurities and I love you just as you are and seeing you from the outside makes me like myself better, does that make sense? I don’t believe you knew how much you meant to me. You were so helpful and sweet and still so innocent. I will never ever forget the sweet love you brought to our family. The giggles. The smiles.
