He was not very successful in school but had a very strong talent in music and art. Lennon had married twice, his first wife he later divorced and then met his second wife Yoco Ono. In 1969, John and his wife Yoco invented a form of peace protest by staying in bed while being filmed and interviewed which created he then created the song 'Give Peace A Chance.' Because of his strong belief in peace during the Vietnam War, this would show him as a Dove rather than a Hawk. Later in 1971, John's album 'Imagine' was his most successful and critically claimed since his break up with The Beatles. Sadly in 1980, Lennon was shot several times in front of his apartment by a fan named Mark David Chapman.
