I see that Albert’s mom is trying to be nice to Ally and Keisha giving them food but they’re sadly really poor and didn’t have food. I think that Fish In A Tree is related to Who We Are. Ally really appreciates Mr Daniels for helping her with her dyslexia. Ally finally started trusting her friends and told Albert and Keisha that she has dyslexia. Albert says he can’t read and has trouble with writing too which can maybe mean he has dyslexia. Ally is a two faced girl. Ally is unprincipled because she uses excuses to get out of assignments like going to the nurse. I think Ally is misunderstanding Mr Daniels because she is thinking that he ditched her. Keisha is always with Ally because when Ally was writing a note to Mr Daniels Keisha wrote a note with Ally to Mr Daniels too. I wonder if Mr Daniels meant to throw Ally under the bus or not. Mr Daniels didn’t mean to single Ally out in front of the whole class.  

Ally says:

“I came from invisible to invincible”

“I came up from the bottomless dark caves to the top of the mountain”

When I thought something was impossible to me was in the soccer team tryouts, I tried but unfortunately I didn’t make it.

Also in many other video games or any game I sometimes don’t win when I am playing against really good players and I tell myself it’s impossible for me to win against them.

Or when I get in trouble and I got caught red handed I say I have no excuse for this one and it’s impossible for me to get out of this one. 

SOMETIMES, exams or tests when I (ALMOST) give up but still try, I think it’s impossible for me to get it now but I’m a risk taker.

I think I am like Ally because first of all, when Ally did something and she wished she did something else, that is completely like me.

And second of all, I let my good friends make fun of me, which we were joking of course, but I NEVER let them talk about my family.

Ally kinda takes everything seriously sometimes, as Keisha says in chapter “Half Baked Afternoon” that’s like me when I think my friends are bullying me but they are just joking around and I take it seriously.

I think you will not know the idea of the book only if you read it I learned that from F.I.A.T . Ally is like me by hating writing and like to draw and being creative and I have food memory like her but I am not like him because his family are poor and I don't have dyslexia and I am like Travis by being funny and I am not like her because she is in high school and I am not in high school.

I think that characters in the book are becoming a bigger part of the story since they are becoming a bigger deal Ally’s life, becoming friends and making new enemies. Ally is becoming more hopeful in these new chapters, maybe she will finally be able to read more fluently. When she met with her dad on skype a lot of things were revealed like does Ally trust anyone else, is she the same to her dad as she is to her mom ( I mean being mean sometimes). She is becoming happier every time she expresses her feelings openly. Her self esteem is also rising. To me winning a veteran match on Call of Duty Infinite Warfare felt like it was impossible but I finally accomplished it by training really hard and playing everyday, so I think that Ally can learn to read as long as she practices a  lot.

I think that we might be hitting the climax soon. Ally is starting to climb out of the hole she has dug for herself, Mr Daniels probably knows her secret. I really like the way the author expresses Ally’s feelings by using very detailed words and similes. I wish someone found out Ally’s secret just so that the suspense. I think that Ally is very good at chess since she is a visual spatial learner. The book just keeps on improving more and more since the first response.

 

 

Today we read about how Ally has become more confident and begins to believe in herself. We all have ups and downs, and now she is begging to feel more of a positive feeling. Mr. Daniels showed Ally the word “Impossible” and changed it to “Possible” meaning that she still has a chance. I related this to my dad, when he showed me that impossible actually means: I’m possible, so the word itself it saying that it’s possible. This helped me whenever I am assigned to work that seems almost impossible to complete in the time given. So instead of running away, and failing, I’m trying to do my best no matter how long it takes. Like Ally, she worked on her homework one day where she took a long time to complete. Another good characteristic that Ally possesses would be being grateful. It’s true that you can’t express everything you want to say in words. For me, this is mainly because I’m shy, but for her she wasn’t able to word out what she wanted to say. Now she influenced me to be more appreciative, because some people help you really sincerely. 

Today we read about when Ally spills her secret to Keisha and Albert that she can’t read. She feels like she is a nobody. Both Keisha and Albert are trying very hard to make Ally feel unique. I relate to this because, our current teacher Mr Huiet’s goal is to make everyone feel that they are a unique individual. I am now appreciative about how I am ok with myself while others are having a hard time thinking about a bright future for themselves. I feel very bad for Albert, because he is experiencing poverty. I have seen many examples of people who are in even more worse situations. So, I try my best from now to help those in need. After knowing that Ally has told her secret she now has some people to trust. She is also being very appreciate of Mr Daniels’s work. I also feel the same with Mr Huiet, he is trying very hard to make me a better learner and make me feel comfortable with my learning.

The chapter starts of with Ally being embarrassed in front of the class, as she feels that she is betrayed by Mr Daniels. Ally was hopeful and now she feels Hopeless and writes a negative note on Mr Daniels. Ally’s mom is always there for her even if she does something wrong, I know how it feels because my mom does the same with me. She is forgiving and forgives Mr Daniels when he apologizes for what happened with the sub. I sincerely need to be more forgiving because I always argue till the end. I learned again, that Ally is incredibly visual and connects chess to describing her friends and chess. I also like connecting random things especially in my head, but I am nowhere close to her visualization skills. Ally thinks in her head: she went from invisible to invincible. I have experienced a time like this before. It was when I was a shy boy who no one knew, until when I began to do great in class and my teacher made me known. Now I feel that she is gonna rise after she talk about the foreshadow. 

 

The book is getting even more interesting. Ally is starting to believe in herself,she thinks she can do it. I am like Travis cause i like building and making things.

Ally is starting to trust Albert and Keisha, she has told them a secret about her dyslexia.

She is starting to trust her friends and is being more confident.

Ally is not believing in herself. She is now believing in herself wow.

11/8/17: There is a sub. And she singles Ally out by telling her she can draw instead of writing. It is very embarrassing when you are singled out. Mr.Daniels Tells her that it was an accident and Ally is relieved that she can trust him again. Ally is very visual and she can relate the the chess pieces to her friends. It is fun when you visualize everything in the real world. She was hopeless, hopeless, hopeless, hopeful, hopeless, and now I think she has the most confidence in herself.

11/7/17: Albert is so poor that he doesn’t have extra food. That would feel horrible if a guest came and you have no food to serve. Ally tells Keisha and Albert that she has dyslexia. They support her, they don’t laugh at her. You feel very nervous when you reveal a big secret, but it is a big relief when people support you. She is starting to feel more comfortable around her friend.

11/6/17: Ally skypes with her dad. She is happy. I feel happy when I talk to my family. Ally is now very hopeful instead of hopeless as she was at the start of the book.

Ally think it will be impossible for her to read like the others, but Mr.Daniels tells Ally nothing is impossible. Ally is very grateful to Mr.Daniels. “In the this world of words, sometimes they just can’t say everything.”

 

I think Mr Daniel and ms kesler are good at psychology. I see that ally is like me in committing to change because ally said she would sleep in school if it would help From what i see Mr Daniels teaches people with different levels in an abnormal way . From what i see when i hear ally’s response to Mr Daniels chess question is that she/ally is an attentive listener. As i predicted ally likes the game chess because it uses her/ally’s  visual spatial mind. As i predicted Mr Daniels is certified or  gonna be certified for special education.

 I see that ally is hopeful instead of hopeless like in the beginning. Ally has a great connection with her dad because she shouted “daddy” when she called him. I see that ally is like Mr huiet in speaking instead of saying shay is mean she says shay has a mean behavior. I see that Travis gets encouraged by his dad to push himself. Travis is adapting to how he is poor so he takes the waste of other people and invents something , he gets all the trash that are useful from the trash.  I can see that all the attitudes that she had are changing into a better way. I see that ally is really good at memory, ally could compare Mr Daniels  to Travis. Ally is starting to believe she could change because of Mr Daniels. I see that ally over does things sometimes like when she tried to figure out what possible was by smelling the paper and other moves. This reminds me of soccer i kept on being bad and didn't accept it and thought i would be better without work, till i started working and got better and better and that encouraged me to do better in soccer.

I think the title birth of a star has to give a big clue, I think that means ally will unlock her inner confidence. I see that Albert isn't excited for ally and Keisha to see his house. I see that Albert is so poor to the point that they don't have extra food. I see that Albert is so committed to making a world a better place. I think that ally will tell her friends about dyslexia and i see that i am right. I see that ally appreciates her help to not be dyslexic.

 I see a joke ally says i will grow up to be a nobody then Albert says technically nobody is perfect. I see that fish in a tree is related to who we are. I see that when someone doesn't have something they see how important it is while other people don't. I see how it relates to our religion because god said if something bad small happened to us we should thank him because something worse didn't happen. 

I see that ally is not open minded because she didn't even wait to see that teacher she tried to escape. Ally is a 2 faced girl. I see that ally feels like no one understands her except herself when actually she doesn’t understand. I see that Keisha is always a good friend because she helped ally to write a note for mr D, i think Mr d was rushed that why he couldn’t come to school. I think Mr Daniels will stay for a few days then leave for a while and tell ally that she is strong and she should continue working hard and that she is special but might not see it, but he has to leave for college.

I see that ally is so forgiving that she forgave Mr Daniels, is even visual she compared her friends Albert is KING because his personality doesn't show his look. I even see that the story has to do with how we organize ourselves. Ally said shay is like a queen because she is powerful like a queen 

From the sentence i came from invisible to invincible and from the chess observation i think that ally will stand up for herself against shay, that makes me excited for when she does i hope ally has a little trouble so if she got in a situation like this she is strong. Something that i see that when i defend myself i take it to the next level and bully back so i hope that ally doesn’t go too far

I see that ally is like my friend who won the chess tournament if he could use the knowledge of chess he would never get in trouble, ally did the same by not falling into shay's trap from her chess knowledge.

I see that ally realized that instead of she being bad at reading she is not good yet it is like you are not bad but sometimes it is bad behavior.

I think Albert would be a good president because since he is intelligent and is poor, being poor gives an advantage because he would want to treat everybody fairly because

Travis:Is Ally’s brother he is similar to him because he is also dyslexic and good with numbers.

Keisha:Ally’s friend she stands up to bad behaviour and bullying.

Shay:Shay is a bully,rich and spoiled she knows that Ally’s dyslexic and bullies her.

Jessica:Is Shay’s shadow always agree with her and she is also a bully.

Mr.Daniels:Is Ally’s new teacher he’’s very kind and tries to help Ally and he knows that All’s is dyslexic

The book is similar to our life because we also show the attitudes that the people in the book show.

Lines of inquiry:Ally doesn’t understand the lines of inquiry because she always keeps thinking that she can’t do anything and she should understand that she is part of humanity.

Central idea:Shay  should understand the central idea because she bullies her because she is different and is dyslexic.Shay should stop bullying her and understand that everyone is different and has value.

Ally is starting to get more confident because she told Mr.Daniels and his friends that she is dyslexic.

Ally got  embarrassed because there is a substitute teacher and Mr.Daniels wrote a note to the teacher and the teacher is asking who is Ally and Ally got scared because the teacher singled her out and Ally is wondering why would Mr.Daniel do that.

Albert is different of how he looks.He is bulky but he hides behind others and doesn’t confront anyone. A thing that shows that Albert hides and doesn’t step up is he doesn’t do anything to the kids younger than him that abuse him.

Mr.Daniels apologised to Ally and said that he would never do that on purpose.Ally is happy that she can trust Mr.Daniels again.Ally said now I am invincible from invisible.Ally is again getting hopeful from hopeless.Ally has the highest confidence than ever.

At the beginning of chapter “A Picture is  Worth a Gazillion Words” Ally finds out she has a substitute teacher with a note from Mr. Daniels. This is where Ally’s self-esteem plummets to the ground when she tells the substitute teacher she drew a picture of a ghost in a blizzard and she hears the roars of laughter coming from the class. Ally puts a note reading “I will never stay after school and play chess with you ever again” on Mr. Daniel’s desk because she betrayed him. Soon later, Mr. Daniels approaches Ally in the hallway and makes things better. Ally feels like the knight piece in chess because she’s always jumping over things. Ally beats Mr. Daniels in chess and he seems very cheerful. She’s gone from invisible to invincible.

Personal Response: Ally again climbs over a mountain from her self-esteem plummeting to the very bottom and then raising to the clouds. I feel as if she’s been climbing mountains all the time going from hopeful to hopeless like a zigzag. She’s been put down by Mr. Daniels but their relationship was easily mended. She’s gone from the king to the queen in chess after smashing away the negative.

Ally, Keisha and Albert go to Albert’s house and her mother is surprised with a look on her face as if it’s the first time Albert has brought a guest. When Keisha asked for food Albert said, “It’d be illogical to serve you something that does not exist.” Keisha has high hopes for her friend Albert and she claims he’ll probably cure cancer, find another planet or do something honourable. Keisha is very positive with the two and never is angry due to her extensive look on the positive/bright side. 

Ally is working hard to rid of her dyslexia. Mr. Daniels teared out the “I”and “M” off of “impossible” and said it’s gone forever, increasing his determination. I feel like Ally’s mood is constantly going up and down like a roller coaster, and just when she’s so close to the top, she gets thrown back down. Her mood is easily changed but harder to mend.

Ally has dyslexia so she cant read and write.I dont know how she passed all the grades to grade 6.She is tricky and doesnt want anyone to know she has dyslexia.Until her new teacher mr.daniels who is the first one to find out Ally has dylexia.He was Ally’s favorite teacher he was the only one who understood her.The sub teacher told the class that Ally has dyselxia.Her freinds helped her get over it. Now she feels invincible.   

I know that Albert is so poor that he doesnt have food to share with guests when Ally And Keisha came to his house.He said that it wouldnt be logical if there is no food to eat.

Ally’s best friends are Albert and Keisha they are the two greatest friends ally had in my opinion.They are always there for her. Ally’s dad works in the army.When travis talked about reading the manual Ally’s dad was like WHAT!!!! That shows me that he might have dyslexia. Ally’s brother Travis works in the garage fixing cars He has a new manager and he keeps on asking him to read the manual.But I know that Travis has trouble reading and writing so he has dyslexia.Even tho Ally cant read or write she is unique in different ways. Like she has a good sense of determining what is in the box.She is good at keeping secrets and preparing good exuses and alot more.
