My topic is going to be youth leadership in response to the climate crisis - what youth are doing, what I have done, and what we can do. I'm passionate about this topic because I know that it will have a major effect on the future of people. People have this idea that teens can't change the world, or don't want to, and I've learned that the opposite is true - there is a lot that teens are doing and that still can be done.

I am not certain yet, but I think I am going to talk about this program called Rising Star. It is a soccer program for kids with any sort of disability, to come out and play soccer. You volunteer to buddy up with a kid for each class and you play with them and help them with the drills. It is such an eye opening experience seeing and helping these kids overcome difficulties and the joy they get from simple thing. It also teaches the volunteers empathy, showing them how hard it is for these kids, giving the volunteers as much joy as the players when they achieve something.

My focus will be on the NFL and how the world needs to understand the importance of keeping players in good conduct. I believe it it vital that large sports organizations such as the NFL make sure they only have players who are worthy of being emulated by so many young Americans and others who watch the game. If nothing is done about allowing NFL players who are actively using drugs, abusing children and/or women, and not conducting themselves as respectable in public, then the next generation of humans may not fully understand the depth of these choices.

The issue that I will be doing my core final on is bullying, and specificly girl bullying. A few months ago, I joined an organization called The Mean Girl Estinction Project, and I learned how much of a problem this really is in our society. not only do these girls that are being bullied need help, but the bulliers need us too.

For my Core Final Project I will be doing anti-abortion. I am passionate about this topic because my oldest sister was that girl that got pregnant in high school. She went though a lot of struggles, deciding what to do. Though her experience I learned a lot about this topic, and continued on learning about it. Abortion frequently cause intense psychological pain and stress to the mother. This is a issue that is happening in our society.

For my core final I was thinking about focusing on the music programs getting cut at schools. I personally think music is very important and know that there are many people that think agree. Going to choir, strings class, guitar class and other music involved classes is what brightens some of our days. It's what we look look for all day. To have this taken away from us makes our school days longer and makes us sad. They can't keep taking music from us.

The topic I will be discussing for my core final is feminism. It is something I feel very strongly about and I just feel like there is a lot I can say about it. I feel like women should be treated and respected the same way as any man would. I don't want to live in a society where people treat women like their less than who they are. Feminism is something that would finally make people equal and that is why I believe so strongly about it.

I'm not entirely sure yet, but I think that topic I will be discussing is teen suicide. How it can be prevented and what leads to it which will probably encompass bullying as well. I'm passionate about this because while I haven't been directly affected by someone committing suicide, I know people who have, and I know that a lot of people struggle with feelings of suicide and depression. I know that it's a big problem in our society, and I want people to be informed about it because it might change how they treat people.

Although I'm still looking for other options, I currently plan on talking about the relationship between teens and drugs. I feel that these days it's a huge problem and teens across the nation are constantly using drugs and ruining their future. At a very young age I witnessed the things drugs can do to you and to this day I'm still losing friends to the same temptations. People don't see the impact drugs can have until it's too late, so I hope that spreading this message would help society really see what drugs do and help find a permanent solution.

The topic I was thinking about doing for my core project would be music. I'm passionate about this topic because it is a huge stress reliever and is very important in self expression and developing the mind. I am still debating on what my topic should be for the core final but an idea that I have in mind is talking about bullying. It's really sad to see little kids get bullied by other kids. There are many ways to reach out to those kids and help them out in any way possible. Everyone has had some experience in bullying and it's not the best thing in the world. If everyone helps out then bullying can be prevented.

I did an internship at a conversational sciences preserve and I was fascinated by what we learned about redwoods and climate change. The topic I will most likely be discussing for the core final is on the availability of colleges for students due to how expensive they are. With my sister going off to college very shortly, I have become more aware of the actual cost of college and how insane it is. With a family of three siblings I wonder how it is truly going to be possible for my parents to realistically send us off to college. I have become very passionate about this topic over the years. After thinking about my own family, I started to think about other's and how other people are going to afford college. I am passionate about finding a way to somehow lower the cost of college so more students can afford it. This is important to me because everyone should be able to recieve a college degree and money should not stand in their way.

Although I am still debating on the certain topic I will discuss in my core final, I am passionate about tutoring children. Having previously volunteered as a ELD tutor for 1st -3rd grade students I have been able to see the struggles students faced when moving to a new place especially having already been through their shoes and being able to experience this young child's journey of learning and understanding new cultures and ideas.

I am very passionate about how people treat the earth. I hate when you go somewhere and it has litter everywhere or gum spots all over the ground. This just goes to show that some people think that the enviroment is their own personal trash can. The damage humans have done to Earth is horrific. People have cut down rainforest without re-planting, burned forest to have more building area, and continue to pollute the world at derastic rates.

I am interested in discussing the topic of bullying and how it affects peoples’ futures and choices. Many people I am close with have experienced bullying first hand, and I’ve realized that not enough people are making an effort to help those in need. A great number of people you know, whether you realize it or not, are involved with bullying in one way or another. It is not a topic anyone is comfortable discussing, and so it is typically avoided in our day to day conversations, when instead of avoiding it, we need to face it head on and make an effort to stop bullying.

I thought long and hard about what my topic should be. I'm still debating what it should be but I was thinking about doing it on the controversial views on some documentaries. I'm passionate about this topic because certain documentaries have great stories that need to be told but some people or groups boycott these certain documentaries, making it so their stories are never heard.
