We want parents to be able to measure our progress is specific areas asking specific questions to hold us accountable. The section on Traps and Tropes that discusses the equity warrior, doing equity and siloing equity are dangers that we work to avoid. We also hear, “through student broken telephone” that some areas of the school consistently adhere to old, colonialist structures of teaching and assessing. Therefore, it is urgent for us to identify, implement and reflect on our student and parent feedback processes to inform our progress through our equity action plan.
