Base on the test of, "Am I Too Stressed? " from psycom.net, the result of my stress assessment is mild. This commonly happens among people with high stress (PSYCOM,2021).

Base on the other test, "Stress and Anxiety" from Berkeley University, my stress assessment was 17 out of 48, which is considered moderate. It further stated that though I am able to manage my stress the majority of the time I am having a hard to relax my self. This what makes me easily get irritates and emotional which sometimes can lead me to have anxiety ("Stress and Anxiety, 2021).

Usually, my stress consists of school, work, and financial issues. As the result from the questionnaires states that I am having a hard time relaxing, this is very true. I am having a hard time giving myself space for myself, or a time to relax. If I find myself not doing anything productive, I feel like I wasted my time and the feeling of "wasting time" makes me feel so guilty. As I approach my last year of school, I started to question myself on what I am going to do next? I have not studied for my G.R.E in order to apply to graduate school. What should I do? I am at that turning point in life where I feel LOST. As for work, working in a healthcare field is so stressful, every time I go to work, I get anxious because I know something is going to happen. Financially, living here in the United States without my parents has made me micromanaging my money. I have to save money for rent and bills.
Coping Mechanism For Stress
According to the textbook, coping is a process where individuals try to manage the perceived discrepancy between the demands and resources they appraise in a stressful situation (Sarafino & Smith, 2017). Each individual processing stress differently, therefore, something that helps one dealing with stress might not the correct one helping others dealing with stress. Base on CDC recommendation, some of the healthy ways to cope with stress are working through those difficult feelings, finding social support, taking a break, and meditating (CDS, 2020). Personally coping with stress is a really hard thing to do. I usually used problem-focused coping. I tend to prioritize my tasks, and talked to myself that I can do them. After talking myself through all the tasks, I will then managing the time I have with works and school. I am the type of person that I will talk all my problems out and have faith in what I am doing.
