To celebrate the European Day of Languages, our students explored the importance of language learning and Europe's linguistic diversity. Inspired by the motto "Languages Open Hearts and Minds!", they created a collaborative poster.

With the help of ChatGPT, we translated the anthem "Voices of Europe" into Croatian and discovered how challenging it is to adapt song lyrics to a melody. We also discussed the responsible use of artificial intelligence and learned that AI is a helpful tool, but human creativity and teamwork are irreplaceable.

Finally, we sang the Croatian version of the anthem together.

Teachers first suggested and voted for the words that would become part of the Multilingual Dictionary using the Tricider platform.

Our class collaborated with the students of Jagoda Truhelka Primary School (Osijek, Croatia). The students of Class 3.a illustrated the selected words in Croatian and English, while the students from Osijek created short videos using those words in simple conversations. By combining our illustrations with their videos, we created a shared part of the multilingual dictionary, demonstrating that creativity, teamwork and communication help us learn languages together.
